Cosentino Group and the Official Association of Architects of Cádiz have announced a partnership agreement to mark the occasion of the forum on sustainability SHAPE 2. SHAPE 2 will be held as a parallel activity of the 8th Edition of the Ibero-American Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism, on 11 and 12 September 2012.
SHAPE, The Sustainable Thinking Forum, is a Cosentino Group initiative, which aims to encourage reflection, dialogue and the complete definition of what should be understood as sustainable behaviour and action in different professional fields, through the reflections and insights of the most prestigious experts and professionals, leaders in their international field who are truly committed to the environment.
This second edition of SHAPE will consist of two “conservatories” or reflection and dialogue tables. The themes will be “Sustainability in Food” and “Sustainable Creativity”. SHAPE 2 will include other speakers, the architect Javier Mariscal, Grupo Joly Opinion Director Ignacio Martínez, chefs Andoni Luis Adúriz and Ángel León, director of the Basque Culinary Centre Jose Mari Aizega and the director of Madrid Fusion José Carlos Capel.
In the previous edition, the SHAPE initiative, held in May 2011 within the framework of the Construmat in Barcelona included contributions from the following influential participants: William McDonough, Jeffrey Sachs, Kenneth Yeang, Bruno Stagno, Felipe Pich-Aguilera, Antonio Lamela, César Ruiz-Larrea, Jacob Van Rijs de MVRDV, Fernando Navarro and Andoni Luis Aduriz. As well as representatives from ASA “Sustainability and Architecture Association”, Make it Right Foundation, OSE “Observatory of Sustainability in Spain,” Spanish Green Building Council, APIA, “Association of Environmental Information Journalist” and “Fundación Entorno”.
