Cosentino’s ultracompact surface Dekton® obtains the “Environmental Product Declaration” (EPD)

Cosentino Group, the Spanish company leader in the production and distribution of innovative surfaces for architecture and design, has obtained the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD – ) for the ultra compact surface Dekton® after an analysis of the environmental impact of its life cycle.

The granting of this certificate by an external organisation such as, The International EDP® System, accredits Cosentino Group’s policy of maximum commitment to sustainability, and supports its involvement in improving efficiency in the consumption of raw materials and energy, reducing the generation of waste.

Daniel Libeskind and Cosentino unveil in Frankfurt the “Musical Labyrinth” installation made with Dekton®

Since yesterday, Frankfurt has been home to the installation “Musical Labyrinth” by the renowned American architect Daniel Libeskind. In a new collaboration with Cosentino Group, leading producer and distributor of innovative surfaces for architecture and design, the architect yesterday unveiled this installation, made with the ultra-compact surface Dekton® and located in the plaza of Frankfurt’s Alte Oper, in a ceremony attended by various media representatives.

Daniel Libeskind presents, “Musical Labyrinth” an installation for Frankfurt at the Cosentino City in New York

The renowned American architect Daniel Libeskind unveiled his “Musical Labyrinth” installation yesterday at the Cosentino City showroom in Manhattan. It is his latest collaboration with the Spanish multinational, leader in the production and distribution of innovative surfaces for the world of architecture and design. The “Musical Labyrinth” installation will be presented in Frankfurt on 9 May as part of the “One Day in Life” initiative.

At the event, Libeskind explained the details of this installation to the various media representatives from the architecture and design community of New York – an installation that every visitor to the German city will be able to see in Frankfurt’s Opera Square. Defined by the architect as a work of public art, people will be able to interact and walk through this installation.

Visitors to the “Hotel of the Future” will walk on ultra-compact Dekton® flooring at Fiturtech

The Cosentino Group is taking part in the Hotel of the Future project which goes under the name of “ITH Travelinmotion by Emotion Experience, currently on display at Fiturtech, the main forum for tourism innovation and technology organised by the Instituto Tecnológico Hotelero (ITH). At this year’s fair, which ends on 24 January, the ITH and the sensory marketing company Emotion Experience have designed an exhibition area that recreates the experiences and sensations that visitors to the Hotel of the Future can enjoy.
