An ode to the curve. This incredible project of an Australian home seems to be taken from an organic future, with sinuous lines and a certain Mediterranean air. The total area is 1,000 square metres, and the grandeur of its concept contrasts with the warmth it conveys. The creators of this elegant and sophisticated home are the studios Tim Stewart Architects and FBI Interiors. High ceilings and sculptural staircases blend seamlessly with wood, curved sofas, and airy fabrics like the linen curtains. Undoubtedly, a perfectly studied interplay of architecture and interior design.
Five-metre curved island
This unique home comprises many rooms, but when the creators are asked about the biggest challenge they faced, they have no doubt: the five-metre curved bench of the kitchen island. Here, Cosentino's assistance proved invaluable, as the chosen surface was Sensa Taj Mahal. The reasons? Also very clear: “its natural beauty and the fact that it is a durable material resistant to chipping, stains, and scratches thanks to Cosentino's Senguard treatment.”
This curved island acts as the central axis of the space, as its organic shape softens the volumetry and adds movement, while the subtle cream veining enhances the natural tone of the surrounding wood and allows the island to harmoniously integrate into the environment. Moreover, the choice of these warm tones reflects the desire to "create a warm atmosphere that complements the soft tones of the wood."
Dekton bringing harmony
In the living room, the atmosphere is enhanced by the installation of Dekton Marmorio on both the shelf and the skirting board beneath the television. Its finish introduces an elegant contrast without disrupting the overall harmony. The piece acts as a sophisticated focal point, defining this area with the ultracompact surface that maintains visual cleanliness and adds sophistication.
Finally, the playroom is equipped with worktops in Dekton Velnu, which stands out for its texture and resistance to daily use. This material offers a calm aesthetic, free of reflections or distractions, ideal for a family environment where durability is essential.
