In this apartment located in the heart of Neuilly, the studio Desnoulez Laufer Architectes has crafted a renovation in which soft materials are paired with architectural precision. The result is a serene, luminous atmosphere where every texture helps structure and enhance the spatial narrative.
From the moment you enter, a strong architectural gesture sets the tone: a doorframe entirely clad in Sensa Taj Mahal, creating a mineral threshold that marks the transition between the entrance and the main living space. This contemporary stone surround acts as a guide, leading the eye naturally toward the heart of the apartment. Subtle and elegant, the material introduces the warm beige palette that becomes the project’s defining thread.
Upon entering the main room, the kitchen unfolds with harmonious simplicity. Vertical light wood, abundant natural light and clean lines compose a warm, contemporary setting. At the center of the design, Sensa Taj Mahal plays a key role—both aesthetically and functionally. Used on the backsplash, the countertop and the sculptural cylindrical table leg, this carefully selected granite reveals delicate grey and golden veining that animates the space with refinement.
Beyond its beauty, Sensa Taj Mahal offers crucial technical performance for everyday use in a kitchen. Thanks to Senguard technology, the stone becomes naturally impermeable, stain-resistant and easy to maintain, with no need for regular re-sealing over time. This durability makes it an ideal material for a family kitchen or intensive use, while preserving a warm and elegant aesthetic.
The table-island, supported by its monolithic stone leg, becomes the project’s equilibrium point—at once a sculptural element, a dining surface and a transition between kitchen and dining area. Above it, spherical pendant lights extend the softness of the space, echoing the warm tones of the light wood cabinetry.
Sensa Taj Mahal acts as a mineral thread, unifying the apartment: in the entrance, it forms a strong architectural frame; in the kitchen, it creates a durable, luminous workspace; on the walls, it becomes a soft, cloud-like backdrop.
This material coherence perfectly reflects the vision of Desnoulez Laufer Architectes, founded by Guillaume Desnoulez and Camille Laufer. Their practice is rooted in revealing existing qualities, giving meaning to spaces and crafting sensitive interiors where every material choice expresses an intention. Their attention to detail, ongoing dialogue with clients and transversal approach are visible in every alignment, texture and spatial transition.
In this apartment, Sensa Taj Mahal is more than a material: it becomes the project’s signature a linking element, a canvas for light and an aesthetic as well as technical solution. A renovation that blends durability, elegance and harmony, designed for everyday living.
