In the picturesque municipality of Vandoeuvres, in the canton of Geneva, an extraordinary residential project has emerged, impressing both architecturally and materially. The vision for this house united modern design with top functionality, which has been impressively realized through the choice of materials and the innovative design of the facades and interior surfaces. A central element of this project is the use of Dekton products, which not only give the building an elegant appearance but also ensure its durability and resilience.
Vandoeuvres, known for its tranquil and exclusive setting, provided the ideal backdrop for this ambitious residential project. The building was designed to harmoniously blend with the natural surroundings while also making contemporary statements. The choice of materials played a crucial role in realizing the architectural vision. Guillaume Leite from LP STUDIO SA, who oversaw the project, explained: "We aimed to create a house that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional and sustainable. Choosing Dekton as the primary material was therefore a natural decision."
Material artistry and precision in execution
For the facade and interior walls of the building, Dekton was selected—a material that impresses with its robustness and versatility. The building's facade was equipped with a cut-to-size, 0.8 cm thick, bonded ventilated facade in Marmorio color. This choice not only provided an appealing visual effect but also excellent insulation and protective properties.
Architect Guillaume Leite from LP STUDIO SA commented: "Using the bonded ventilated facade is not just about aesthetics but also functionality. It protects the building from weather influences while contributing to energy efficiency." Fixing the panels to the ventilated façade with an adhesive provides a lightweight, easy-to-install solution, allowing the use of large floor-to-ceiling panels and reducing the number of joints required.
Inside, Dekton Marmorio was used to give the entrance area an elegant and timeless atmosphere. "The entrance area is the first thing visitors see, and we wanted to make a lasting impression. Dekton Marmorio not only offers a luxurious look but also exceptional durability and ease of maintenance," explained the architect.
Unified aesthetics and functionality
The combination of Dekton products ensures a harmonious blend of aesthetics and functionality. The facade stands out with its elegant texture and color, while the interior wall cladding in the entrance area provides a warm and inviting reception. The choice of materials was carefully considered to meet both aesthetic demands and practical requirements. "The choice of materials was crucial to the overall look of the project. We wanted to ensure that every decision positively impacted both the design and the long-term use of the building," said architect Guillaume Leite. Dekton comes with a 25-year product warranty on the façade and is carbon neutral, enhancing the sustainability and longevity of the façade.
The residential project in Vandoeuvres is an outstanding example of modern architecture, where design and functionality are perfectly combined. The use of Dekton for the facade and interior wall cladding ensures that the building is both visually impressive and extremely resilient. This project vividly demonstrates how thoughtful material selection and innovative architecture can lead to a sustainable and elegant construction. Through the skillful integration of Dekton products and a coherent design concept, this building becomes a prime example of modern residential construction, meeting both high aesthetic standards and practical requirements.
