In Banten, the Dunarra Interior studio has developed a residential project where the kitchen and living spaces are conceived as the true heart of the home. The design embraces a serene and timeless aesthetic, with the hybrid mineral surface Silestone Blanco Zeus becoming a key element, applied to the kitchen worktop, central island, and the dining table top.
“The client wanted a white, clean, and uniform surface that would complement the wooden tones and textures of the rest of the pantry. This design choice was consistently maintained throughout the project,” explains the studio. Silestone Blanco Zeus, with its luminous and homogeneous finish, acts as the perfect counterpoint to the warmth of the wood, balancing the ensemble without visually overpowering it.
The heart of the home: pantry and island
From a spatial perspective, the kitchen is not seen here as a secondary space but as the true nucleus of domestic life. “The pantry and the island truly function as the heart of the home, located right at its centre. It is where clients welcome family and friends, and where, naturally, most gatherings take place,” notes Dunarra Interior.
The pantry structures the daily routine, storing essentials for meals and celebrations, while the island becomes an active meeting point. “It is the place where food is prepared, conversations arise, and memories are created. Together, they form a space that combines practicality and connection, making the kitchen a warm and welcoming environment.”
Silestone: ease of use and long-term peace of mind
In a newly built family home, the choice of materials had to meet the demands of real and prolonged use. “The surfaces are easy to maintain and worry-free: there is no need to immediately clean coffee or food stains on the worktop or splashback,” explains the studio. This ease of care was one of the material's great advantages.
The application of Silestone Blanco Zeus on the worktop also helps reduce long-term maintenance efforts. “It is an ideal choice for a family home designed to last. Its resistance to scratches and stains allows for hosting guests with complete peace of mind, knowing that serving food or gathering around the kitchen poses no risk to the surface,” they point out.
A choice aligned with the quality of the project
The decision to work with Cosentino was directly linked to the studio's own standards. “We chose Silestone for its proven durability and excellent properties, such as resistance to scratches and stains. Cosentino's solid reputation in the industry reinforced both our confidence and that of the client,” they state.
Given that Dunarra Interior's bespoke furniture is crafted with high standards of quality and durability, it was essential to pair it with materials of the same calibre. “We needed surfaces that reflected that same level of excellence.”
Although other options were initially considered, the studio is fully satisfied with the final decision. “We are very pleased that the clients chose Silestone. Its exceptional durability enhances the longevity and performance of the interior and integrated furniture, ensuring long-term value and quality.”
With prior experience using Cosentino materials, Dunarra Interior concludes: “It is always a pleasure to work with products that match the quality of our own work. We look forward to continuing to introduce Cosentino to more clients so they can enjoy its benefits as much as we do.”
