Cosentino, a multinational leader in the production and distribution of innovative and sustainable surfaces for the world of architecture and design, is present at the 32nd edition of CASACOR Brasília, which takes place between August 15 and October 13, at Arena BRB Mané Garrincha, an imposing architectural work in the country's capital, with unprecedented access and configuration.
The exhibition brings an immersion in the theme From the present, the now, inviting the public to celebrate ancestry and the legacy we want to leave for future generations. The architects highlight the elegance, versatility and technology with products applied in different environments.
Casa Conectada Claro, by Studio Arch+
The Studio Arch+ office designed the Casa Conectada Claro environment, an environment that prioritizes automation technology, providing comfort, safety and ease for everyday life. “Following the characteristics of our work, the inspiration was the theme of the Exhibition, O Agora, and the search for an elegant environment, with a clean and functional aesthetic, with a fluid layout, which at the same time welcomes, brings affection and comfort, with the use of materials that represent nature, with a rich mix of sensations and textures”, explain the architects.
To compose the kitchen countertop and island, the architects chose Silestone️ Lime Delight. The textured beige tones of Lime Delight are a versatile base for any interior design, from calm and bucolic spaces to more unexpected proposals. Its warm and bright tones recall the splendor of the famous Marbella limestone. Lime Delight is part of the Urban crush collection. The pieces were made by the marble company Multipedras.
Varanda Oásis, by RYSC Arquitetura
The architectural firm RYSC Arquitetura, led by Ricardo Secunho and Yasodhara Chaibub, designed the Varanda Oásis space. With 120m², the gourmet space was designed to provide a complete experience, with the best for this type of environment. A fully equipped kitchen, lush landscaping integrated into the balcony and a very cozy living room with a large air-conditioned wine cellar. The perfect combination of orthogonal and organic shapes, integration and multiple uses for the spaces. This versatility is the essence of their projects. “Rysc Arquitetura proposes an oasis in the middle of concrete and in the heart of Brasília's urban center. A space for pause and relaxation and for enjoying today. It is a proposal that can be explored in a house or an apartment, and can be adapted to different styles”, say the architects.
To compose the kitchen countertop and island, the architects chose Dekton Reverie, a reinterpretation of the iconic attributes of the precious Paonazzo stone. Thick veins with gradients of light gray and cream, with a delicious rusty terracotta and subtle dark blues. Reverie has a matte finish and is part of the Onirika collection. Sahara marble is responsible for the execution of the pieces.
Bodega, by Valléria Teixeira and Ney Lima
Architects Walléria Teixeira and Ney Lima designed the Wine Cellar space. With 130 m², the inspiration comes from everyday life and travel. The space aims to show the current state of a wine cellar with ancient references. “Since this year's theme is Present, the now, the space brings many current references contrasted with affective memories. We bring everyday experiences when enjoying a good wine”, comment the architects.
To compose the kitchen island and the table, the architects chose Dekton Graphite. Its dark background, a mix of black and gray interspersed with cloud-like whitish and reddish spots, reinterprets the texture of fine-grained dark limestone. Its design makes it particularly suitable for applications where pattern continuity is required at the edges. Vk04 Grafite is part of the Pietra Kode collection. The pieces were made by Área Pedras marble company.
Espaço PodCast, por Eliene Lucindo
Architect Eliene Lucindo is responsible for the Espaço PodCast. Inspired by the wealth of stories and experiences that make up the essence of interior design, the goal was to create a space that not only celebrates beauty and functionality, but also amplifies the voices and narratives of design professionals and enthusiasts during this season. In an era where sustainability is crucial, the Espaço Podcast project emphasizes the importance of sustainable practices in interior design. “I wanted the project to be more than just a passageway; I wanted to create provocations From the present, the now through visual, olfactory, sensory, and auditory elements where the audience could actively engage. Every detail of the podcast was carefully thought out to offer a welcoming and inspiring environment. Materials and brands that value sustainability in production and concern for the reuse of discarded materials,” explains the architect.
To compose the flooring of the space, the architect chose Dekton Kreta. Inspired by classic cement floors, with moderate movement. The design is uniform and controlled, despite presenting darker or lighter areas depending on the density of the pattern. Its matte texture and gray tone combine with any type of material and make it suitable for any application. Kreta is part of the Dekton Industrial collection. The pieces were also designed by the Área Pedras marble company.
Loft, by Hersen Mendes Arquitetura
The Hersen Mendes Arquitetura office designed the Loft space, inspired by recent dramatic moments, which lead us to truly value human relationships, culture, arts, science, and to value all these moments that are human. “We sought to create a space that would enhance human relationships, thinking about both social spaces and spaces for introspection. Our main idea is that we can have moments that are different from our daily lives, moments with family, friends and ourselves. It is from this constant transition between past and present that we seek to cultivate our human relationships in the present and value the legacy and the past”, comment the architects.
To compose the countertop and floor of the space, the architects chose Dekton Umber, which is part of the Kraftizen collection. The Dekton Kraftizen collection is a tribute to master craftsmen and the techniques they have perfected over the centuries. To compose the space, a table in Silestone Parisien Bleu, which has a deep blue hue with a strong personality and powerful character. Inspired by the hues seen in famous imperial Roman stones, combined with fine veins in ochre tones. Parisien Bleu is part of the Silestone Le Chic launch. The pieces were made by the Estilo em Pedras marble company.
O Refúgio do Cedro, by Alessandra Moussa and Marcelo Netto
Architects Alessandra Moussa and Marcelo Netto designed O Refúgio do Cedro, a 44m² space full of memories. Inspired by Alessandra's father, a Lebanese man who came to Brazil at the age of 19 to escape the war, the functional and uncluttered kitchen pays homage to his story. With a canvas painted by her own father, an imposing stone wall and personal objects on display, the space also features furniture by renowned designers such as Samuca Gerber and Fabrício Ronca. “This is our fourth participation in CASACOR Brasília, come and see this incredible tribute”, says Alessandra. The architects specified Dekton Argentium for the kitchen countertop and island. The M Cunha marble company is responsible for the execution of the pieces.
Imposing, Dekton is versatile depending on its use and its functionality is linked to the thickness chosen for the project, being used in free-standing furniture (side tables, benches and sofas), on kitchen shelves, in planters and even on the doors of countertop furniture. This use exemplifies the versatility of Dekton, which in its 4 mm version works on walls. Meanwhile, the 8 mm thickness is recommended for residential flooring, with easy and practical application. Functional countertops, in turn, combine with the 12 and 20 mm densities of Dekton or Silestone.
