Cori Halpern brings color and joy with her whimsical design, and this stunning kitchen is a testament to that. Her client wanted a white kitchen, but as soon as the dark brown wood cabinetry was being ripped out, she had a change of heart. The talented designer created a ‘classic with a twist’ concept that carried through the entire home, making it timeless but also unique.
When looking for a black countertop, Halpen knew Silestone Et. Maquina was the only choice due to its timeless elegance, durability, and low maintenance - all must-haves for her client’s kitchen.
The Silestone Et. Marquina countertops are a beautiful complement to the white cabinets and marble tile backsplash. There were several walls in the kitchen, so instead of painting them all a solid color, the designer proposed a fun and floral wallpaper with a back background which ties perfectly into the black counters and white cabinets.
The countertop selection is a perfect balance between dramatic and classic. It has a natural look and feel without being ‘too much’. The color feels organic and is able to play with the other elements in the kitchen (such as the wallpaper and backsplash) without overwhelming the design.
“The Silestone material selection was essential to creating this beautiful and liveable kitchen.”
