Silestone brings warmth to an influencer’s kitchen

Designer and influencer Susanne Rauff, @ved.lejlighed, decided to give her cool green kitchen an elegant contrast by using Silestone Calacatta Gold “for its warm tones”. “The island is the heart of our kitchen and the area where many family activities take place, so it is really wonderful that Silestone can stand up to everything.”

Their home is an almost century-old stately flat and, out of respect for its architecture and environment, they opted for a classic solution, as a Nordic-style kitchen without handles “would have seemed out of place”, she says. “The finish that the Silestone front gives to our kitchen is both practical and aesthetic: it makes it so much easier to keep the wall clean and hygienic, and it blends perfectly with the classic style of our kitchen, with framed doors and handles,” says the influencer.

According to the influencer, as this was the kitchen’s second renovation in two years, “this time we wanted a worktop with an attractive design that was also sturdy and durable. We know we can’t put a hot pan directly on a Silestone surface, but we don’t need that level of heat resistance. However, Silestone is very easy to clean and maintain, it is stain-resistant and, last but not least, it has a pleasant, soft and fresh texture. It is a pleasure to work on it”.

Although it wasn’t easy for the influencer to choose between the many options offered by the Cosentino surface, in the end Silestone Et Calacatta Gold was the winning colour.
