In a long-standing partnership, Cosentino has teamed up with Plantr, a Cape Town-based fashionable planter brand, to create Blomma – a sophisticated rectangular planter clad in Dekton.
Designed for indoor and outdoor use, these multi-functional planters are the result of a shared passion for design, meticulous attention to detail and dedication to quality. Plantr’s collection of aesthetically pleasing planters and lush greenery underlines their belief that a harmonious combination of plants and outstanding design contributes significantly to creating a positive and more sustainable life.
The ultimate planter
Housed in a stainless-steel structure, the Blomma planter showcases earth tones thanks to the ultra-compact Dekton stone inspired by nature. The simple yet striking planter is available in two colours and can be presented in a more robust form with the base resting directly on the ground or in a more elevated position with the optional Brazilian hardwood legs.
Taking its inspiration from natural stone, Plantr has chosen the texture and appearance of Dekton due to its ability to reflect the beauty of the natural world. Because Blomma is a container for all kinds of plants, it had to be designed to be both sophisticated and versatile.
Versatile and available in two colours
The designers at Plantr chose Dekton on instinct. According to the brand, “its ultra-compact and sophisticated blend of over 20 minerals eliminates the risk of stress, weakness and porosity, which is perfect for an object that will be exposed to soil, water and the elements”. In addition, Dekton is 100% carbon neutral, as Cosentino works to offset the emissions generated throughout the product life cycle.
Blomma is available in two colours within Dekton’s industrial collection: Nilium and Radium. Both are minimalist in style: Dekton Nilium offers a subtle cocktail of white and grey marble-like tones, and Dekton Radium enhances a simple black with accents in shades of orange and brown.
