Food stylist, photographer and blogger Magali Ancenay has spared no detail in designing the kitchen of Suites 23, the guesthouse she plans to open at the end of the year, which will welcome guests and host events around cooking and horticulture, her two hobbies that have become her profession. According to the author, “organic, beauty and elegance” are her three passions. Author of several cookery and gardening books (and a forthcoming publication on Feng Shui), this influencer publishes on her blog 'Quatre Saisons Au Jardin', all kinds of original recipes, suggestions for gastronomic trips, advice on how to grow a vegetable garden and much more.
The interior design studio Modulnova was in charge of the design of her new kitchen, which was tailored to her expectations and tastes. Among other things, Magali was certain that she wanted to use Cosentino surfaces for the workspace in her new kitchen. “I came across Cosentino through Instagram. It was exactly the material that I was looking for in terms of design, but also in terms of durability and easy maintenance”, she says.
The simplicity and elegance of Bergen
Specifically, the stylist chose Dekton Bergen, an elegant colour inspired by natural Portobello stone. The beauty of its greyish veins, with sculptural pattern on a whitish background with delicate filigree, brings a lot of character and elegance. “The wide range of colours available made the choice quite difficult. But in the end I went for this light colour, which matches perfectly with walnut wood”, explains the stylist.
Design and functionality
“In terms of design, this material enhances and adds a very trendy touch to my kitchen. Everyone who has seen it on my social networks has agreed. But it goes beyond that. It is also easy to maintain”, she says. Among the many advantages of Dekton, Magali Ancenay highlights “its resistance to stains such as wine, rust or acids, something crucial when cooking. It is also very resistant to scratches, UV rays and heat”. “In addition, it is easy to clean, has a beautiful gloss and a very accomplished marble effect”, she says.
To clean it, she says she uses natural soap, baking soda or a little white vinegar to remove stains in the corners of the sink. “All it takes is a wipe with a cotton cloth and my worktop gets its exceptional shine back”, she concludes.
