Raytrace is an immersive, architectural installation composed of Dekton® ultra-compact surfaces, exploring the product’s innovation, durability and beauty. Designed by Benjamin Hubert of LAYER, Raytrace stands 25—meters long and 6—meters high, creating the illusion of infinite space from the inside.
This interactive installation projects a caustic pattern onto the material, emulating the refraction of light through water. Visitors are encouraged to interact with Raytrace and experience the dreamlike state of being underwater.
Dekton by Cosentino
Dekton® is the new ultracompact surface by Cosentino, a technological material composed of a sophisticated mixture of raw materials used to make porcelain, glass and quartz surfaces. The material has high flexural strength for use in home applications as well as indoor and outdoor use. Raytrace features Dekton® Slim, the ultra-compact surface that is only 4mm thick, making it one of the most lightweight and highperformance surfaces in architecture and design.
