For renowned interior and food stylist Sofie Noyen, creating a stylish, durable, and practical interior was of great importance in the renovation of her family home. Inspired by Belgian greats such as Axel Vervoordt and Vincent Van Duysen, she combined a warm farmhouse feel with modern architectural elements. For this extensive renovation, Sofie chose the innovative and versatile Dekton from Cosentino, both for her kitchen countertop and for the outdoor flooring, to realize her vision of aesthetics and functionality.
The Kitchen: Timeless and Durable
In the heart of Sofie's home, the kitchen, the choice of countertop – as a foodstylist - played a crucial role. She chose Dekton Keon, a material that not only visually seamlessly fits her modern, minimalist design but is also exceptionally practical.
Dekton is known for its high resistance to scratches, stains, and heat, making it ideal for a busy family life. Louis Culot, a specialist in countertops, ensured a perfect installation of the Dekton Keon countertop, giving the kitchen a sleek, contemporary look while also being easy to maintain.
Outdoor Space: Natural and Functional
For the outdoor flooring around her home, Sofie chose Dekton Albarium, a light and fresh color that harmonizes with the natural elements of her garden and the modern architecture of the extension. The 50m2 of Dekton tiles give the outdoor space a serene, timeless look.
Dekton is perfect for outdoor use due to its high resistance to weathering, temperature fluctuations, and wear, ensuring that the tiles remain beautiful even after years of intensive use.
