Nina Avetisova of Point of Design Studio translated the essence of Santorini’s architecture and cultural heritage into this modern dining experience. Here, guests can enjoy authentic Greek cuisine in an inviting atmosphere incorporating classic Greek architectural features and colors.
The design features a seamless indoor/outdoor seating flow and local art and craftsmanship including hand-painted ceramics, intricate mosaics, artwork that tells the story of Greek mythology and heritage, and more. Santorini’s classic colors - crisp whites, deep blues, and warm earthy tones - are on full display, creating a sophisticated and serene color scheme intertwined with textured materials such as stucco, volcanic stone, and ceramic tiles.
The indoor tables feature Dekton Trance, a marble-inspired color with dynamic blue veining on a white canvas, perfectly in tune with the color scheme. The exterior table tops have the cream subtle shade of Dekton Danae, eliciting the feeling of dining al fresco on a Santorini terrace.
The outdoor space is also complemented by pergolas adorned with climbing vines to provide shade and intimacy. Additionally, Silestone Nolita can be seen on the indoor bar top, bringing a calm aesthetic that complements the colorful elements in the space.
Point of Design emphasized eco-friendly practices by sourcing sustainable materials and implementing energy-efficient solutions, aligning with modern dining trends and environmental consciousness. Dekton and Silestone are the perfect sustainable surface to honor this mission. Dekton is the only full lifecycle carbon neutral solid surface on the market while Silestone is a mineral surface composed of low silica minerals and recycled materials. Both are manufactured entirely with renewable electric energy and 99% recycled water.
By integrating all of these different elements, this bistro celebrated the culinary delights of Greece while providing an immersive setting that transports guests to the enchanting island of Santorini for a memorable experience.
