Designed by architect and designer Fábio Morozini, the Triplex Wabi-sabi project, located in São Paulo, is a true manifesto of beauty in imperfection, inspired by the Japanese concept that gives the space its name. With nearly 600 square metres spread across three floors, the project stands out for its welcoming, minimalist, and highly technological aesthetic, where Cosentino materials take centre stage.
The choice of Dekton, an ultracompact surface produced with Cosentino's exclusive technology, reinforces the pursuit of highly durable, low-maintenance, and timeless design solutions. With different thicknesses, colours, and applications, the materials align with the Wabi-sabi concept, where natural and sophisticated elements are in balance.
In the kitchen, the worktops are made of 12 mm Dekton Awake, a shade reminiscent of marble with striking veining, complementing the organic style of the space. In the main bathroom, the wall also features Dekton Awake, this time in 4 mm, while the floor is clad in the same material in 8 mm, enhancing visual continuity and moisture resistance. The shower floor in the master suite adds a touch of contrast with Dekton Reverie.
High-traffic areas also benefited from Dekton's durability in flooring: both the kitchen and the leisure area were clad with Dekton Neural slabs, ensuring thermal comfort and a contemporary aesthetic. The modernity of the pool's interior design is also noteworthy, featuring large-format Dekton application, offering near-zero porosity, reducing the number of joints, and ensuring greater hygiene and durability.
The most interesting architectural feature of the project is precisely the integration between the spaces and the nature of the materials used, where each area seems to have been organically shaped, respecting the impermanence and uniqueness of every detail.
With this project, Morozini reaffirms his sensitive approach to emotional design, while Cosentino strengthens the versatility of Dekton as the ideal material for contemporary, sustainable, and elegant projects.
