“The Moon Exception” is a visionary and inventive exploration of all that has been learned and unlearned through the exploration of space and the moon, inspiring and prevailing.

The work of Rota moves us to deep reflection, following the obsessive and constant idea that the process of invention and transmission of creative knowledge is a risk, a jump into the void, a production of knowledge made of errors and hazards, just like any respectable space voyage.

The project “The Moon Exception”, undertaken by the Cosentino Group for the 2014 edition of Fuorisalone in collaboration with the prestigious institute Domus Academy in Milan, is the special platform for three student projects – “Reverse City” by Jihye Kim, “Oasis in a loop of the day” by Ksenia Titova, “Slow Motion” by Peeranat Urairat -, developed during the workshop “The Third Place”, on the redefinition of public spaces through the use of Dekton® by Cosentino.
