Décor and Design: Green Design Hub 2023
Décor and Design celebrated its 19th year in 2023 and is established as Australia’s No. 1 interiors event.
The show gives interior designers, decorators, architects, retailers and commercial buyers the opportunity to see and buy hundreds of NEW products, learn the latest industry trends and network with peers both at the trade fair and in a full program of concurrent functions.
This year Décor and Design shone a spotlight on eco-friendly design, furniture and recycled materials, reflecting our move as an industry and society towards more conscious living with the first edition of their Green Design Hub.
We were one of the major sponsors for the hub and 1 of 20 brands exhibiting at this eco-friendly stand who are taking a conscious approach to creating a sustainable future for the planet with our products.
Over the span of 4 days there were approximately 10,000 people who entered the exhibition to see all the sustainable products available in the market right now. The Hub showcased innovative ways to reuse products, in order to create a truly circular economy with zero waste strategies. From samples of clever recycled materials to beautiful sustainable products and furniture, visitors were able to touch and feel the latest in green design.
Over the course of the 4 days there were styling masterclasses, trend forecasts, Dulux colour application and training and more. On the Friday, we had Cosentino Marketing Manager Alex Tomasi speak to attendees about our sustainable, market leading product lines Dekton and Silestone, which we offset 100% of our CO2 emissions over the entire product life cycle, making Dekton the only Cradle-to-Grave carbon neutral surface on the market.
We also had Design Sales Manager, Diego Uberman speak to Saturday's exhibition attendees on the topic of our low silica, high performance sustainable surfaces. A presentation showcasing our ESG strategy and best practices regarding our extraction and manufacturing processes of our ultra compact stone surfaces in Almeria, Spain.
