Cosentino Australia celebrates APAC Prodigies in Architecture and Design

The next generation of trailblazers in the Asia Pacific architecture and design industry have already started to make their mark and Cosentino Australia is supporting these prime movers and shakers by partnering with the INDE Awards to sponsor The Prodigy category.

Curated by Indesign Media, the INDE Awards champion design and architecture across APAC, recognising the region’s best and most creative, and amplifying them on a global scale. The awards are judged by esteemed personalities in the industry including Jan Utzon founder of Utzon Architects, Sue Carr founder of Carr Design Group and Stephen Toddl, design editor of The Australian Financial Review.

As the official partner of the 2017 INDE Prodigy Award, Cosentino is magnifying its values of ‘imagine and anticipate’ while supporting entrepreneurship, an authentic trait of Cosentino itself, which started in 1940 as a family business.

Marketing Coordinator for Cosentino Australia and New Zealand, Heather Tines, said, “It’s an honour to partner with The Prodigy award. We love supporting up and comers and it gives us the opportunity to get a look into the industry’s emerging talent. All nominees shortlisted have demonstrated innovation and pushed the boundaries of design.”

The nominees hold qualities including service skills, talent and expertise, the use of technology, and big-picture thinking and have shared them throughout the industry in a new way, identifying mutual opportunities to continue to learn and grow.

The shortlist for The Prodigy award include:

  1. Karen Abernethy: Founder of Karen Abernethy Studio
