This 740 square meters new build in Texas, designed by Anita Hubbard, is inspired by serene resorts in Mexico and California, layered with elements of the Texas Hill Country. The home was envisioned as a contemporary retreat for a family of four with two active boys. While the scale and finishes are elevated, the guiding principle was liveability and performance without sacrificing sophistication.
Expansive windows flood the interiors with natural light and frame backyard views, reinforcing a strong indoor-outdoor connection. A grounded palette of earthy tones anchors the spaces, while unexpected complementary accents in paint, furnishings, and art introduce personality and energy. The result is a home that feels relaxed and welcoming, yet highly considered in every detail.
Cosentino materials were selected to meet the dual demands of performance and design flexibility. In the wine bar, Silestone Charcoal Soapstone was fabricated into a pronounced radius curve, setting the tone for the custom applications throughout the home. The main kitchen pairs Dekton Ceppo countertops with a tall backsplash and raised island detail, creating visual impact while standing up to daily cooking and entertaining.
In the game room, Dekton Marmorio forms a waterfall edge and continues seamlessly between interior and exterior bars. The primary bath features a sculptural island-style vanity in Dekton Neural with a dramatic drop edge, while the powder room showcases a fully clad floating vanity in Dekton Taga with an integrated side-draining sink.
Dekton Laurent is also featured as the countertop in the secondary kitchen, and Silestone Desert Silver in secondary utility spaces. Across every space, the materials deliver durability without compromising the project’s refined aesthetic.
