This residential project, designed by architect Carol Scarpelli, reflects a perfect balance between sophistication and comfort. Located in São José dos Campos, it was conceived to offer a contemporary home where every space invites you to live and enjoy the pleasure of being at home.
“We developed a sophisticated interior design project, with many carefully integrated elements —including Dekton surfaces on worktops and floors— to achieve an elegant, functional, and cohesive ensemble,” explains the architect.
To ensure beauty and functionality, one of the key decisions was the use of Dekton, Cosentino's ultra-compact and carbon-neutral surface. Thanks to its wide variety of finishes, Dekton was creatively applied in various spaces, enhancing the home's design and providing resistance and durability to every detail.
Dekton Natura and Entzo for staircases, walls, and kitchen worktops
Dekton Natura brought the beauty of marble in its most natural form, with soft grey veins standing out on a classic white surface. Applied to the walls of the kitchen and gourmet area, its polished and glossy finish subtly reflects light, creating a bright and luminous atmosphere.
Meanwhile, Dekton Entzo, inspired by golden Calacatta marble, was used on the staircases, living room walls, and kitchen worktop. Its golden veins create an elegant and welcoming atmosphere that draws attention without being overpowering.
“The kitchens were designed with spacious areas and generous worktops, capable of meeting the needs of clients with discerning tastes and a refined aesthetic,” says Scarpelli. “The use of Dekton not only enhances the beauty but also provides the necessary durability for those who enjoy the culinary arts.”
For the kitchen island, Dekton Argentium was the perfect choice. Its soft and modern grey tone provides the durability required for this space while offering a contemporary aesthetic that naturally fits into the gourmet area.
“The versatility of Dekton allows for the creation of unique and customised surfaces, tailored to each client's lifestyle,” says the architect. “This way, we ensure that the kitchen experience is not only practical but also enjoyable.”
A timeless bathroom with Dekton Rio Branco and Dekton Laurent
In the bathroom, Dekton Rio Branco was the chosen material for the worktop, enhancing the brightness of the space. Its Nordic and timeless white tone creates a relaxing and sophisticated atmosphere, ideal for a wellness environment. In addition to its beauty, Dekton Rio Branco stands out for its resistance to stains, impacts, scratches, and water, ensuring a bathroom that combines aesthetics and functionality in a practical way.
For the freestanding sculptural basins, Dekton Laurent adds depth and elegance to the ensemble, harmonising with the wooden framework and stone wall. Its dark brown tone with golden veins creates a powerful and sophisticated contrast.
“Every detail was designed to reflect the refined taste of the clients, as well as their desire to live in a space that combines comfort and design,” concludes Carol Scarpelli. “This project is, for me, the embodiment of the balance between beauty and functionality: a home that exudes elegance without compromising practicality.”
