In Jakarta, the Seggio Home studio has designed a residential home where wood serves as the guiding thread of the project, interacting with high-performance contemporary surfaces. The modern and timeless aesthetic of the project, designed for everyday use, enhances the harmonious relationship between Cosentino's ultra-compact Dekton surface and dark wood.
From the outset, the project was conceived with a clear idea of spatial continuity. As the studio explains, “the most distinctive feature of the project is the seamless integration of clean architectural lines with refined surface finishes, creating a modern yet timeless aesthetic that feels cohesive throughout the space.” Wood, present in cladding, joinery, and furniture, adds warmth and texture, while other materials introduce precision, durability, and a contemporary contrast.
Cosentino as technical and aesthetic support
In this project, Dekton integrates naturally with wood, enhancing the contemporary character of the interior without losing warmth. Its presence does not seek isolated prominence but rather continuity and solidity, complementing the architectural lines of the whole.
To support this vision, Seggio Home opted for Cosentino materials. “Cosentino was chosen for its proven quality, technical performance, and versatility, which allowed us to achieve a design solution that balances aesthetics, functionality, and long-term durability,” the studio notes. In a domestic environment subject to constant use, selecting surfaces capable of maintaining their appearance over time was essential.
Designed for everyday life
The home is designed to be lived in intensely, which is reflected in the choice of materials that make it easy. “The material offers excellent durability, low maintenance, and high resistance to stains and scratches, making it ideal for high-traffic areas while maintaining its visual appeal over time,” explains Seggio Home. This combination of durability and aesthetics allows spaces to retain their original quality without requiring constant care.
The colour selection also follows a logic of harmony. “I chose these colours because they align with the overall interior design concept and help create a balanced and cohesive visual appearance,” they explain. The natural tones of the wood are complemented by neutral surfaces, creating a serene and sophisticated atmosphere.
“In addition to performance and aesthetics, Cosentino materials support sustainable design criteria and contribute to the value and longevity of the project,” the studio explains. In a home designed to endure, this vision is key.
Regarding the specific advantages of the surfaces used, Seggio Home is clear: “Dekton was chosen for its exceptional durability, high resistance to wear, and its ability to deliver solid performance alongside a refined design aesthetic.”
