Magog, a small city located in southeastern Quebec, is now the home to a new progressive community titled ‘ilot innovation & cies’. This new ecosystem neighborhood is made up of modern buildings that meet sustainable and technologically-advanced standards, providing commercial work spaces, residential living, and accommodations. It is described as a port for existing businesses and new startups to make projects happen and bring creative ideas to life. Keeping with the theme of innovation, Granit Design has fabricated two of ilot’s offices, featuring Cosentino’s Dekton ultra-compact and Silestone Quartz surfaces.
The first installation took place in the offices of the engineering firm, Côté Jean et Associés. The architects working on the project were looking for a strong and durable surface to include in their design. Dekton in Domoos was chosen for the front desk reception area, engraved with the company’s logo. The dark shade makes a striking impact when guests enter the offices, and the material will continue to look beautiful for years to come thanks to Dekton’s extreme durability and low maintenance.
The second installation in the same building is in the Kezber offices, an advanced IT firm. As with the first project, Dekton was chosen for the entrance area of the office. The company’s logo was cut into the reception desk made from Dekton in Galema. Galema was also used in the washrooms for the countertops.
The architects used Silestone in Yukon Blanco for the kitchen’s waterfall countertop. The creamy shade was chosen for its elegant aesthetic and its high resistance to scratches and stains.
