Dekton®, the ‘top’ sponsor of the 2018 Mutua Madrid Open

The Mutua Madrid Open, the only ATP World Tour Masters 1000 and WTA Premier Mandatory event held in Europe, will begin on Friday, May 4th. Once again, this tournament will be a ‘top’ of the ATP circuit thanks to the Cosentino company.
This year, the Spanish multinational company is once again kicking off the most important date in the Spanish tennis calendar together with its brand Dekton®, one of the tournament’s main sponsors. Products from this revolutionary brand and decorative solutions from Silestone®, the world’s leading quartz surface brand, will grace the main spaces of Madrid’s Caja Mágica in the coming days.
Cosentino will hold various events linked to the worlds of sport, dining, design, architecture and digital. With various VIPs and celebrities participating, these will attract the attention of every visitor to the Caja Mágica, making the MM Open a ‘Tops on Top’ tournament. The best example will be the glamorous stand located on the ground floor, which will let any visitor walking in become an international top model like Cindy Crawford for a moment. The stand reproduces the photo shoot for the latest Silestone® advertising campaign, ‘Tops on Top’ (#TopsOnTop), featuring Crawford. Thanks to a spectacular Silestone® Desert Silver worktop from the Eternal collection, anyone who wants to can have their own #TopsOnTop moment.
Cosentino’s strong presence at the 2018 MMOpen will most certainly be visible in the spectacular Caja Mágica’s most unique and outstanding spaces. Beginning with the main doors to the credentials area, the desks for the collection of general entry tickets are made of Dekton® Spectra.
Attendees can visit the famous VIP dining area or the spectacular Sky Lounge at centre court, where they can also appreciate the beauty and high performance of Cosentino materials.
Like previous years, Cosentino has its own VIP space. It will serve as a meeting area with different guest and personalities invited by the brand, as well as with its customers and partners from around the world. This private space features the Dekton® Industrial Collection, with wall cladding, backing and counters made in the Orix and Radium colours.
But it’s not just the general public who will be able to experience the quality of Cosentino materials first-hand. The players participating in the tournament will too: the stars of the ATP and WTA circuit will have access to a revolutionary ping-pong table made of Silestone® and designed by the prestigious British-Israeli architect and designer Ron Arad in the ‘Players’ Zone’. ‘10 Layers’, as the design is called, is an original table with a curved shape that reduces velocity and allows the duration of the game to be extended. The company Cuellar Arquitectura del Mármol has done the fabrication works for this peculiar ping pong table.
‘10 Layers’ is also the centre of an important charity event featuring the table tennis player José Manuel Ruiz Reyes from Granada. Cosentino is working with this Paralympic athlete, a member of the Royal Spanish Table Tennis Federation who has participated in the last six Paralympic Games.
