Gandiablasco’s new SOLANAS Collection featuring Dekton® by Cosentino unveiled at Milan Design Week

Renowned designer and architect Daniel Germani designs new collection of beautifully unique and durable outdoor furniture.
The new SOLANAS Collection from GANDIABLASCO, designed by architect and designer Daniel Germani, will make its debut at the 2018 Salone del Mobile in Milan. Born from the aesthetic sensibility and passion for the outdoors of the Argentinean architect, the line of outdoor furniture represents an homage to SOLANAS, a beach located in Uruguay, where Germani used to spend his summers.
Germani pays homage to his father, a man who was always ready to open the doors of his home to friends and family. Just as talented a chef as a host, this engineer by training with an extraordinary aesthetic sensibility, designed the outside space of his house in Solanas to accommodate numerous guests, and for the enjoyment of his three passions: nature, family and gastronomy. Germani sought to reflect this passionate approach to life with the collection by using softer forms in the design with rounded edges and pieces that create intimate spaces.
The collection is the result of a recent agreement between GANDIABLASCO and Dekton® by Cosentino with Daniel Germani Designs to develop innovative outdoor furniture collections. Because of the collections’ modular nature, different zones can be created depending on the composition.
SOLANAS is made using highly resistant outdoor materials with finishes and fabrics that are resilient to extreme climate conditions. It combines extruded aluminum profiles with the introduction of Dekton® ultracompact surface. Dekton® is a revolutionary long-lasting surface that requires very little maintenance. It is made up of a mix of raw materials used in the manufacturing of glass, state-of-the-art porcelain tiles and quartzite surfaces. Dekton® is created using Sintering Particle Technology (TSP) that involves an ultra-compaction process developed exclusively by Cosentino’s R&D department. It possesses superior properties including a high resistance to UV rays (retaining its original colour), scratches, stains and thermal shock, and absorbs very little water.
The aluminum structure is available in different tones of grey, blue, green and orange combined with several finishes from three different Dekton® collections including colours from the Dekton® Solid, Natural and Industrial series.
