Casey’s Creative Kitchens uses Silestone in the Bayfield Dream Home

,With the help of Casey’s Creative Kitchens, Silestone by Cosentino surfaces were donated and featured throughout the Bayfield Dream Home Lottery’s cottage-inspired grand prize home. Partnering on the Bayfield Dream Home was a special project for the team at Casey’s Creative Kitchens, with proceeds supporting their local London, Ontario hospitals.

We sat down with Kristen McCaw, Sales Manager for Casey’s Creative Kitchens, to hear more about their involvement in the project.

What was Casey’s Creative Kitchens involvement in the Bayfield Dream Home?

We designed and installed custom cabinetry and surfaces in the kitchen, ensuite, main bathroom, loft bathroom, and laundry room.

Why is this project important to you?

It is such a feel-good project! We enjoyed working closely with like-minded industry people, with the common goal of creating a spectacular home that would increase ticket sales for the lottery. It is these ticket sales and donations that fund critical equipment purchases, replacements and upgrades throughout the London Health Sciences Centre, Children’s Hospital, and the St. Josephs Health Care Foundation.

Caseys Creative Kitchens

What is your favourite part of the Dream Home?

Most definitely the kitchen with its stunning navy cabinetry, butcher block, golden hardware and fixtures, and beautiful Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold countertops. This selection of quartz embodies both a cool and warm mix in the stone, which brings together the use of materials and colours throughout the kitchen.

We loved working on this project! We worked alongside a fantastic builder, John Meinen from Meinen Custom Homes, and designer Jillian Summers from Upstaging Limited, who allowed us to showcase our cabinetry and stone work here at Casey’s.

The Bayfield Dream Home

How does the Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold countertops pair with the cabinetry throughout the home?

Being a “Dream Home” we wanted to be on trend and current with the design. At the same time we needed the home to be liveable for the winners, and of course stand up to the wear and tear of use over time. Pairing the Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold countertops with the cabinetry gave us exactly what we and designer Jillian Summers wanted. The countertops complement our custom cabinetry beautifully and is very stylish, showcasing a timeless look of quartz that will stand up to everyday use.

What is your best advice to consumers looking to renovate their kitchen or bathroom?

Function First! Think about efficiency and how you will actually use the space you’re renovating, whether it be a kitchen or bathroom, AND… get a designer! They will help you not only with the function of the space, but will make it truly beautiful!
