Cosentino City Toronto Celebrates Its Grand Opening
Toronto’s design community gathered in the heart of the city’s historic downtown district on October 29, 2025, to celebrate a milestone moment. The evening marked the Grand Opening of the relocated Cosentino City Toronto, now situated at 143 Frederick Street, and coincided with Cosentino Canada’s 10th anniversary.
More than an opening, it was a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and connection. Designers, partners, and industry leaders came together to experience the reimagined space and to honour a decade of innovation and growth in Canada’s design landscape.

A Living Showroom
Unlike traditional product displays, Cosentino City Toronto was envisioned as a living showroom that blends design and experience. Created in collaboration with Dubbeldam Architecture + Design, every element of the new location was carefully crafted to immerse visitors in real-life applications of Cosentino’s sustainable surfaces.
Guests discovered a fully operational kitchen equipped with Gaggenau appliances, alongside bathrooms, cladding, furniture installations, and flooring that demonstrated Dekton and Silestone in seamless architectural integration. These applications showed Cosentino’s materials not just as products, but as part of real environments designed for living and working.
“Toronto’s design community is among the most vibrant in North America, and this new City Center places Cosentino right at its heart,” said Karim Guirguis, Regional Director North, Cosentino.

Designed for Discovery
The layout of the showroom invited guests to explore, touch, and interact.
Among the most visited areas was The Atelier, a creative library designed to encourage collaboration and experimentation. Designers and clients tested material combinations side by side, exploring how each surface could come to life in different settings.
Nearby, The Bathelier, a fully functioning bathroom concept, demonstrated the elegance and performance of Cosentino materials in daily use.
“The goal was to design an environment that sparks discovery and supports exchange,” said Heather Dubbeldam, Principal at Dubbeldam Architecture + Design. The result is a space that continues to inspire conversation and collaboration long after the opening night.

A Celebration of Community
The Grand Opening featured a ribbon-cutting moment that officially reintroduced Cosentino City Toronto to the design community. As the ribbon fell, applause filled the air, marking both a new beginning for the showroom and a proud milestone for Cosentino Canada.
Guests explored the space while enjoying cocktails and light hors d’oeuvres. Conversations flowed easily as designers, architects, and partners shared their impressions and discussed how the new showroom reflects the energy and creativity of Toronto’s design culture.
The atmosphere was warm, inspiring, and filled with anticipation for the future.

Sustainability at the Core
Sustainability has always been a guiding value for Cosentino and was fully integrated into the design of the new Toronto showroom. Surfaces such as Dekton and Silestone, made using recycled materials, renewable energy, and processes that minimize waste and water use, were built directly into the architecture.
The result was both beautiful and responsible, proving that high performance and environmental stewardship can coexist in harmony.

A Distinctive Location
The relocated Toronto showroom held a special distinction as the first Cosentino City worldwide to occupy a corner site with double-height windows on two façades.
What began as an architectural challenge became a defining feature. The expansive glazing connected the showroom to Toronto’s bustling streetscape, allowing passersby to see into the space while flooding the interior with natural light. The effect created an immediate connection between the showroom and the city around it.

More Than a Showroom
The Grand Opening was also an opportunity to reflect on what Cosentino City Toronto represents for the design community. Beyond being a place to discover surfaces, the showroom was designed to serve as a hub for events, education, and collaboration.
Its fall programming calendar is already bustling with the Best of Canada Interior Design Awards, an NKBA networking session, and the BILD Decorators Annual Meeting. The space will also host workshops, CEUs, and product knowledge sessions, making it a true gathering point for the design community.
Key partners help elevate the experience:
- Freepower: wireless charging technology embedded directly in Cosentino surfaces.
- Biba Lighting: sculptural fixtures that spotlight textures and create atmosphere.
- Andreu World, Gancedo, Naturtex: furnishings and carpets that bring warmth and style.
- LivingART, PITT, Planika, Kohler: additional collaborators enriching the experience.
What sets the showroom apart is its ability to evolve. Seasonal installations and rotating displays mean the City Center will always feel fresh. Discontinued colours will be replaced with the latest innovations, ensuring the space reflects Cosentino’s ongoing commitment to creativity, sustainability, and design leadership.

A Flagship for the Future
The reopening of Cosentino City Toronto represented more than a change of address. It was a reinvention that reaffirmed Cosentino’s leadership in design, sustainability, and innovation.
As Cosentino Canada celebrated its 10th anniversary, this Grand Opening stood as a symbol of the company’s continued growth and deep connection to Canada’s design community.
By embedding collaboration, creativity, and responsibility into the very architecture of the space, Cosentino City Toronto is set to serve not only as a showroom but as an evolving hub for inspiration and exchange.
When the celebration came to a close, one thing was certain: the new Cosentino City Toronto had truly found its place at the heart of Canada’s design story.
