Created in collaboration with the Italian furniture maker Riva 1920, GranGusto combines traditional carpentry with next-generation materials
Dekton®, Cosentino’s innovative ultracompact surface for the world of architecture and design, was the selected material for the countertop of the GranGusto kitchen, designed by the French designer Marc Sadler in collaboration with the Italian furniture maker Riva 1920 for the Milan Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2018.
GranGusto is a spectacular semi-professional kitchen made up of a wide variety of high-quality elements and materials that turn the kitchen into a ‘sacred’ space in the home. Designed to express who we are and what best suits our everyday needs, Riva 1920 helped to create this high-quality and durable modular aesthetic hardwood kitchen. GranGusto exemplifies the elements of a classic and modern kitchens featuring unbroken lines that stretch and flow, the bases and countertops set at a comfortable height for the user and the appliances are both functional and practical.
The impressive GranGusto countertop, created with the ultra-compact surface Dekton® Sirius, catches the eye with its intense dark finish. Thanks to its superb technical properties, including high resistance to stains, scratches, heat and cold, the revolutionary surface Dekton® has become this iconic kitchen’s best ally.
The final design includes a cluster of furniture, including a special cabinet that allows wine to be kept at a consistent temperature. The built-in kitchen appliances are from the respected Wolf and Sub-Zero brands.
GranGusto symbolises the perfect combination of traditional design, provided by the carpentry work performed by Riva 1920, with the cutting edge of next-generation, high-tech materials and elements such as the ultra-compact surface Dekton® by Cosentino.
