Highlights from the 28th Annual Best of Canada Awards

Last Friday, October 3rd, 2025, the design community gathered at the brand-new Cosentino City Toronto, located at 143 Frederick Street, for an evening that beautifully captured the spirit of Canadian creativity and craftsmanship.

Cosentino Canada was proud to serve as the Main Sponsor of the 28th Annual Best of Canada Awards, hosted by Canadian Interiors. This year’s celebration also brought together three exceptional co-sponsors — Ateliers Jacob, Latitude Countertops, and Montauk Sofa — whose shared passion for design excellence and innovation helped make the event a memorable success.

28 Years of Recognizing Canadian Excellence

Organized by Canadian Interiors, Canada’s longest-running interior design magazine (published since 1964), the Best of Canada Awards remain one of the country’s most anticipated celebrations of design talent.

Now in its 28th year, this national competition stands apart as Canada’s only awards program dedicated exclusively to interior design projects and products, without restrictions on size, budget, or location. It welcomes submissions from interior designers, architects, landscape architects, decorators, craftspeople, and design students alike, a true reflection of the diversity and creativity shaping the country’s design scene.

The 2025 Awards featured projects across multiple categories: Retail, Residence, Office, Marketing, Institutional, Hospitality, Product, Exhibit, and Single Detail. All winners were published in the July/August 2025 issue of Canadian Interiors, with the Project of the Year gracing the cover.

Cosentino City Toronto — A New Space for Connection

This year’s ceremony was particularly special for Cosentino, marking one of the first major gatherings hosted inside the new Toronto City showroom. Designed as a hub for creativity and collaboration, the space came alive with the buzz of conversation and celebration as professionals from across the country filled the room.

The evening featured cocktails and light hors d’oeuvres, encouraging attendees to connect, exchange ideas, and reflect on the design achievements of the past year. It was a joy to see the showroom filled with friends, colleagues, and industry leaders, celebrating what makes Canadian design so inspiring, its diversity, craftsmanship, and vision for the future.

Honouring Our Co-Sponsors

Alongside Cosentino, three distinguished co-sponsors added their own touch of excellence to the event:

  • Ateliers Jacob – For over 35 years, this Quebec-based company has combined beauty, function, and human nature in its custom-made kitchens, proudly showcasing the craftsmanship of local talent.
  • Latitude Countertops – Based in North York, Ontario, Latitude has spent more than four decades designing, delivering, and installing high-quality kitchen and bathroom countertops for professionals and consumers alike.
  • Montauk Sofa – Founded in Montreal, Montauk is known for its handcrafted upholstered furniture (sofas, sectionals, and chairs) made with precision and care, offering custom options that bring each client’s vision to life.

Together, these sponsors embody the creativity and commitment that define Canadian design, from the heart of our workshops to the homes, hotels, and offices that bring these creations to life.
