Introducing Camden, the London neighbourhood inspired shade in the new Silestone Loft series

Cosentino’s latest product launch, the Silestone Loft collection, includes five captivating shades inspired by several influential alternative neighbourhoods around the world and their industrial personalities. The collection shades mimic the look of concrete and cement, inspired by abandoned factories, large workshops and warehouses found among these unique neighbourhoods. width=

The first shade introduced in the collection is Camden, named after the vibrant London neighbourhood that’s brimming with life. Camden sounds like 80s punk, speaks a thousand languages, dresses eclectically and is home to hundreds of artists. Posters and ephemeral works of art are part of Camden’s history that decorate the district’s exposed brick façades. Authentic, steely shades and the natural wear and tear of living spaces have inspired this new Silestone shade.

Camden features a soft, delicate and consistent grey background, with a fine grain and a subtle white veining. It’s a versatile cement-inspired grey designed for young, everyday spaces designed to inspire creativity. Camden pairs well with shiny metals, hard-wearing and casual fabrics such as denim, imaginative surfaces, vivid colours and elements of wood. Camden’s tone has a wide chromatic variety and recreates very different atmospheres. width=This shade, along with the rest of the Silestone Loft collection, is Cosentino’s first series to be created with their innovative and exclusive HybriQ technology. This new production process embodies the company’s commitment to the environment, circular economy and sustainable management, and helps in the continued development of a new generation of Silestone for years to come.

With HybriQ, Cosentino is able to process reused raw materials in the manufacturing of these new Silestone Loft shades. The production process is carried out by employing 98 per cent recycled water and 100 per cent renewable energy. The presence of crystalline silica has also been significantly reduced, and in its place comes a hybrid formula composed of minerals and reused raw materials. This updates the quartz surface with a modern aesthetic, while maintaining the quality and beauty of Silestone, backed by a 25-year warranty.
