‘Your home is the mirror to your dreams’. With this idea in mind, the Hus architecture studio was commissioned to renovate a flat in Milan in close dialogue with its future inhabitants, with a view to adapting it to their lifestyle and their needs.

‘The shape of the arch was one of the principles that determined the floor plan, starting from an existing building and developing various elements and details, without it being obvious to the naked eye,’ says the studio.

This fashionable and characteristic form also shapes the dining-living room table, made to measure in Dekton Sirius. This visually textured black colour with greenish hues brings a realistic and strong feel to this environment with a distinctive touch of contemporary Italian design. It also blends in with the open-plan kitchen, whose worktop, splashback and bar are in the same colour.

Dekton Sirius, the textured black as a thread that connects different atmospheres

‘The materials are visually consistent throughout the spaces. In this case, dark blue is the thread that visually connects the two areas of the house: the living area, where the open-plan kitchen can be concealed behind a large sliding partition in a striking blue, and the lounge and sleeping area, which is reflected in the blue resin cladding of the shower spaces,’ Hus says.

In fact, according to the studio, ‘the integration and combination between the architectural parts of the flat and the custom-made furniture’ is one of the highlights of this project. Dekton was also chosen as the main material ‘because of its texture, its availability in large format slabs and its resistance properties,’ the professionals continue.

The firm draws attention to the ability of Dekton – Cosentino’s ultra-compact surface – to withstand abrasion and even fire, as well as all kinds of scratches and stains, the latter especially due to its almost zero porosity. ‘The versatility and outstanding hardness of the material allow it to be used both for the kitchen worktop and the dining table’.

Dekton Sirius, the ideal wall cladding for a contemporary Italian look

In both spaces, Dekton Sirius takes centre stage with its sober style in an environment dominated by white and cream tones, along with a very striking touch of red introduced through vintage accents such as small Smeg appliances and old posters of Campari, the popular Italian aperitif.

The result is a clean, rounded and fresh atmosphere at the same time. ‘For us, this material was the perfect choice also because of its tone and the contrast it creates between the light surfaces of the walls and the black Dekton clad parts,’ Hus concludes.

With the aim of creating an elegant atmosphere with a focus on quality, the architect from Housing Operation Architects first thought of using natural stone to clad the kitchen and bathroom of this Tokyo home. ‘We wanted to enhance the quality and standard of the kitchen, bathroom vanity and furniture,’ explains Mr. Katsuura. ‘We thought about using natural stone, but it is difficult to manufacture and apply due to its thickness,’ he continues. It was then that Dekton and Silestone stepped in to offer a design solution.

The result was flawless. A contemporary style permeates the kitchen, dining room and bathroom, providing visual continuity and classic elegance throughout the home thanks to Cosentino materials. ‘The client is very satisfied and this project is already considered one of our studio’s most reputable projects,’ says the architect.

Stylish atmosphere with matching colours

The overall look of the house has been achieved through a balanced colour scheme. The kitchen features a central island with a geometric design. Here, Dekton Bergen has been used for the cladding of both the front and back of the island. This colour, which is reminiscent of natural Portobello stone, has also been incorporated into the kitchen splashback.

The classic beauty of its sculptural grey vein pattern matches the elegant Silestone Pearl Jasmine which, in applications such as the island and kitchen worktops, brings a touch of calm with its white limestone look and subtle grey veins.

Silestone also takes centre stage in a bar-style table designed for another room in the house. In this case, the intense Polaris colour has been chosen, with plenty of fine, light veins that stand out against a darker grey background.

Finally, Dekton Arga brings sophistication to the bathroom. Inspired by Taj Mahal quartzite, this colour recreates the luxury of natural stone and adds an almost magical touch with its subtle veining on a brown and gold background. When used for the washbasin countertop and vanity area, it enhances this space designed in neutral tones.

All in favour of a flawless appearance

‘It was very easy to install the materials and I am very satisfied with the result we have achieved. I plan to use Dekton and Silestone again in the future,’ concludes the architect who designed this luxury home in Japan.

Both in the wet areas and in the kitchen, Dekton and Silestone have met the architectural firm’s expectations. Due to their technical features, both materials are ideal for these spaces as they are resistant to stains and scratches thanks to their low porosity, and their easy maintenance and cleaning make them highly hygienic surfaces.

The new luxury hotel of the Address chain in Istanbul (Turkey) towers majestically over the skyline of the city, occupying a fully sustainable building. This 5-star hotel offers spacious and comfortable suites, as well as a spa, gym, heliport and several fine restaurants.

It is precisely in one of these gastronomic spaces that Metex Design Group, the studio responsible for the interior spaces of the hotel, has used Cosentino surfaces. With decades of experience designing some of the world’s best hotels – including those of the Waldorf, Marriott, Hilton, Four Seasons and The Ritz Carlton –, the studio has chosen these surfaces for a number of reasons.

Outstanding design and unlimited durability, the perfect combination for the luxury hospitality industry

The professionals allude to Dekton’s ability to remain unaffected by stains, scratches, abrasions, extreme heat or cold… making it ideal to withstand the demanding needs of a hotel. In addition, as a carbon neutral material throughout its life cycle, its use in a sustainable building is particularly significant.

As for the chosen surface, Dekton Bergen, this colour inspired by natural Portobello stone strives for perfection in tone, structure and depth, just as this project does. The beauty of its greyish veins, with a sculptural pattern on a whitish background with delicate filigree, makes it an on-trend design full of character and elegance, perfect for the new Address hotel in Istanbul.

In addition to the gastronomic spaces, Cosentino’s ultra-compact stone is also present in other areas of the hotel, including its striking lobby. “The hotel lobby features high ceilings and large works of art on the walls, all by local artists. In fact, the whole design is locally inspired”, the studio says.

Silestone for the most demanding hotel bar tops

“We put a lot of creativity into each creation, which is ingeniously conceived and crafted. No detail is left to chance; in fact, we often say that ‘it is in the small details that the magic happens’. The most important thing for us are the emotions, feelings and sensations that our work arouses. This is what makes up the studio’s DNA: creating experiences or elements that have an impact. Every design tells a story, so we create a narrative that generates an emotional connection between the design and the customer”, the studio further says.

Silestone also played its part in this narrative, as it was used both for the bar tops and the buffet areas in the restaurants. “Silestone’s high resistance to scratches and impacts allows you to handle hard objects without worrying about it. This surface is highly resistant to stains and acids typical of restaurants and bars, and is easy to maintain. We really liked the palette of colours and textures”, the studio says.

The studio also underlines the ease of installation of Cosentino materials, which were integrated into the interior spaces in record time: “All the public areas of the hotel were designed in only six months. This is a very short time in which we managed to carry out an enormous amount of work”, the studio says finally.

The Tamarind, a newly built beachfront development in Penang (Malaysia), offers an array of facilities such as events room, multi-purpose hall, aerial yoga room, swimming pool and paddling pool, a jogging track, gym, nursery, green spaces, barbecue area and children’s playground, among others. It is also very close to a wide range of leisure and dining facilities, as well as transport services, schools and hospitals.

This privileged setting is home to an exclusive flat designed by Grov Design Studio, which has been refurbished with the aim of maximising natural light. ‘Located opposite and with sweeping panoramic views of the Straits Quay promenade, the idea behind this refurbishment was to maximise the brightness of the open plan living and dining room. Overall, we were looking to create a calm and relaxed atmosphere: airy, light, minimalist and subtly elegant, without overpowering the blue tones of the sea,’ explains the studio.

To this end, they opted for neutral and natural tones, with white as the main colour. In fact, Dekton Nayla, a consistent off-white, was the colour used for most of the cladding in the house, starting with the splashback and worktop of the kitchen and the island.

Dekton, easy maintenance and resistance: ‘Its quality speaks for itself’

The advantages of Dekton, Cosentino’s ultra-compact stone that is carbon-neutral throughout its life cycle are countless: it resists abrasion better than granite and porcelain tiles; it remains unaffected by scratches and impacts; it is non-porous, so it is also resistant to liquids and residues; it withstands extreme temperatures and even fire; and it is unaffected by UV rays.

‘The samples provided and the video presentation of the material ensured that the client had a good understanding of the product. The quality of the product speaks for itself,’ says the firm. The response was as expected: ‘The ease of maintenance and the features of Dekton – a scratch-proof and highly heat-resistant surface – are factors that always win the hearts of our clients’.

For Grov Design Studio it was also important to find an aesthetically pleasing tone for the project: ‘The textured design and matt surface are very eye-catching and suited our concept well’.

Dekton for the TV cabinet and the laundry room

They liked this Dekton colour so much that they also used it for the worktop of the TV cabinet, a bespoke design that matches the kitchen units perfectly. In the laundry room, a Dekton Nayla slab has also been added just above the washing machine.

In addition to aesthetics and functionality, Grov Design Studio’s relationship with the company is also a factor that positively influences their choice of products such as Dekton. ‘We are very pleased with the service provided by Cosentino, and with the fact that their sales representatives always keep us informed of the company’s new products,’ the studio concludes.

AEDAS Homes is a Spanish real estate developer of new buildings that aims to offer sustainable and up-to-date solutions for flats, houses, villas, ground floor flats with garden, penthouses, duplex houses…

At its properties, the company places priority on care for the environment and wellbeing, and also offers a design service that allows for total customisation of the finishes of the homes. To choose the one that best suits their tastes and needs, customers can visit the company’s various showrooms, such as the one located in Madrid, where different spaces of a modern house have been recreated and where Cosentino products play the leading role in kitchens and bathrooms. The developer’s commitment to the brand is so strong that Dekton Entzo was the surface chosen to clad the reception desk.

Stylish modern kitchens with Cosentino’s DNA

For a Nordic-style interior design in white and wood tones – a very trendy combination –, the showroom features a kitchen with a Silestone White Zeus worktop and island. This white shade, energetic, timeless and almost pristine, is available with a Suede (matt) or Polished (glossy) finish.

Within the field of dark-toned kitchens, very stylish, AEDAS Homes presents a space with grey cabinets, taps, appliances and details in black and worktop and front in Silestone Ethereal Glow. Its elegant gold and grey veining blends into a tinged white foundation, enhancing the delicate features of the space.

Going one step further in the world of the most exclusive interiors, there is a kitchen in dark wenge wood with gold details and worktop and island in Dekton Laurent, the jewel in the crown. Inspired by Port Laurent natural stone, its surface texture creates a play of shades in which its golden veins dominate the space and bring warmth to its dark, cold background, which gives depth to the whole. The high stools in wool bouclé add the finishing touch to the space.

Last but not least, the showroom presents another attractive and eye-catching kitchen, a warm yet refined space. It is a spacious, well-lit kitchen in wood and touches of white in Silestone Calacatta Gold, an exclusive colour reminiscent of the most appreciated marbles of ancient times for its timeless and distinguished look.

Beautiful and functional bathrooms thanks to Dekton and Silestone

AEDAS Homes bathrooms also reserve a special place for Cosentino products. For example, a large washbasin in Silestone White Zeus presides over a bathroom inspired by brutalism, with finishes reminiscent of cement.

Another appealing proposal is the use of Dekton Helena for walls and floor, creating a small jewel box in white and grey with a fine crackle effect that provides a deep finish typical of the Onix natural stone, which is the inspiration for this colour.

Finally, there is a bathroom with a white double-basin vanity unit that looks particularly stylish thanks to the use of Dekton Entzo for the walls, a colour inspired by Calacatta Gold marble whose random golden veining – also present in the reception area – exudes realism and naturalness.

Dekton for the most sculptural fireplace

As we have already seen, the luxurious Dekton Entzo can elevate any interior space thanks to its distinctive marbled effect. Proof of this is the fireplace in one of the spaces in the AEDAS Homes showroom, a piece consisting of two sculptural cubes clad in Dekton that bring a distinctive look and a lot of functionality to the design, as Cosentino’s ultra-compact stone withstands the highest temperatures.

Dekton Nilium for an outdoor bartop that withstands everything

Inspired by silver metal, Dekton Nilium offers a subtle combination of white and grey shades, which is enriched by the delicate appearance of its warm colours, accurately depicting the beginning of the oxidation process and adding extra character to the surface.

But the truth is that Dekton remains unchanged over time and is not affected by harsh weather conditions. These reasons led AEDAS Homes to chose it to create a sturdy and eye-catching outdoor bar, perfect for the barbecue area. This way, the brand demonstrates that any space in today’s homes is perfect for enjoying the wide range of Cosentino products.

The port city of Surabaya on the Indonesian island of Java is a vibrant and tourist metropolis that mixes modern high-rise architecture with canals and colonial buildings. Here you will find Orasis Art Space, an art gallery housing innovative transdisciplinary works, recently renovated by architects Hermawan Dasmanto, Richo Wirawan and Olivia Imanuela.

The interior was conceived by the designers of Vinetha Project, who faced a major challenge when it came to installing the unusual table in a style somewhere between brutalist and industrial, which adorns one of the main rooms as if it were a work of art.

‘In tackling this project, the size of the table design, which was too large for the surface area of the room, presented us with a challenge. This meant that we had to handle the material and construction work in a special way. Furthermore, to create the luxurious and solid feel we were aiming for throughout the room, the material had to be sufficiently strong and at the same time harmonious,’ explain the project managers.

The search for the perfect worktop led them to Dekton, Cosentino’s ultra-compact stone that is carbon neutral throughout its life cycle and resistant to all kinds of wear and tear, scratches, extreme heat and cold, stains, etc.

Cutting Dekton slabs on site for a perfect custom finish

‘Dekton looks sturdy and robust and provides a solid harmony. Moreover, its flexibility makes it easier to determine the amount of material required depending on the design,’ explains Vinetha Project, which eventually used three 12 mm slabs to create this unique table for dinners, workshops, talks, conferences, etc.

Resting on concrete blocks, topped by lamps that almost look as if they have just come out of a construction site and overhung by a striking sculpture made of aluminium plates and spray paint called Resurrection (Kebangkitan) (2022) by Lini Natalini Widhiasi, the large surface attracts all eyes.

‘Cosentino provided us with the perfect size which allowed us to develop our idea of a giant table for this room’. The professionals found it particularly useful that the material could be cut on site by skilled staff, so that it would fit exactly to the needs of the space. ‘It is a pleasure to work with Consentino materials: they are aesthetically pleasing and very easy to install,’ the studio concludes.

The Griffin development (Australia) is located in a residential neighbourhood on Constitution Avenue, a prime location that offers panoramic views overlooking the Commonwealth Park and Lake Burley Griffin. This apartment building, one of several in the exclusive development, was designed to create a holistic and visual connection with the natural and urban environment by integrating gardens and landscaped terraces.

Its interior spaces respond to this same philosophy, connecting the gardens and courtyards through a design that highlights the views and a selection of materials in keeping with the landscape. Each of the 260 flats offers spacious rooms with Cosentino surfaces that add a touch of elegance, naturalness and quality matched to the overall high-design aesthetic. Thus, Dekton, Sensa and Silestone become part of the interior architecture of these well-balanced and carefully designed homes.

Elegant and timeless kitchens

Kitchens are the heart of every apartment and home. Spacious, functional and elegant, they feature a simple and precise design. Their earth-inspired colour palette responds to the natural environment in which the building is located, while the bespoke joinery dialogues with the Cosentino surfaces chosen for the worktops. Some kitchens feature Silestone Calacatta Gold, a colour with grey veins and golden accents that adds a luxury and natural touch to the worktops, island and splashback.

Others feature Dekton Lunar, whose white background gives the spaces a clean and contemporary character. Additionally, Silestone Pearl Jasmine, a colour inspired by white limestone with delicate greyish veins, and Silestone Charcoal Soapstone, with a blue-grey finish and striking grey veins, were also used for these rooms.
