Cosentino kicked off the new decade by unveiling new colours and collections from ultra-compact Dekton and Silestone natural quartz during the 2020 Toronto Interior Design Show. The show took place over a 4-day event held at the Toronto Metro Convention Centre from January 16-19, 2020.

The new Liquid Collection from the ultra-compact Dekton line, commissioned by Cosentino and designed by London-based pattern experts and designers PATTERNITY, made its Canadian debut and drew the crowds on the IDS show floor. This new, sophisticated collection features three new unique colours – Liquid Sky, Liquid Shell and Liquid Embers. The line visualizes and makes tangible the power of liquid through swirls, ripples and fluidity. Designers were intrigued by the new collection’s look and feel, visualizing it in future projects.

Montreal outdoor kitchen design and manufacturing company Urban Bonfire partnered with Dekton to feature an interactive outdoor kitchen display. The outdoor kitchen countertop highlighted Dekton as the low maintenance, go-to surface for outdoor living and entertainment spaces.

Additionally, four new Silestone colours (Et Bella, Et D’or, Laugar, Polaris) and four new Dekton colours (Laurent, Rem, Helena, Khazo) were launched during IDS, displayed in the booth as the walls of an intriguing lit up catwalk. The new colours will be available by May 2020.

Lastly, Dekton Slim, the ultra-thin and versatile surface with a thickness of just 4mm was showcased in a bathroom installation, featured as shower cladding, backsplash, and countertop. It was also used as cabinetry and drawer cladding in the kitchen display. Slim is revolutionizing surface applications for architecture and building projects, combining the superior technical and mechanical features that Dekton is known for with a new and much thinner, lighter and manageable format for installation.

The architecture and design community, as well as consumers can look for continued innovation and inspiration from Cosentino as demonstrated by the success and reception at IDS Toronto.
