Cosentino is extending the project submission deadline for the 14th edition of the international Cosentino Student Design Challenge (CDC) to July 31, 2020. The final decision of the jury will be reached on September 28, 2020, and will take place online with winners being announced during that time. The global competition is open to all Canadian post-secondary students for the 2019-2020 academic year who are enrolled in a design or architecture course.

Cosentino has spent years supporting the talent of future architecture and design professionals. Given the current global pandemic, it has been decided to extend the deadline in order to adapt to the current academic challenges students and schools are now facing.

The CDC is an international initiative that presents architecture and design students with a research-based and creative challenge. Each concept must boast technical qualities, with a creative emphasis placed on the theme set for each category. In the Architecture category, Cosentino’s project theme is “Cosentino & Inhabiting the Urban Space (street room)”. In the Design category, the theme is “Cosentino & Local Tradition: Contemporary Craftsmanship”.

Students are given full autonomy to research and create their concept with only one requirement which is to include one of Cosentino’s products.

It is an excellent opportunity for students to connect with a global brand, as well as become familiarized with Cosentino’s innovative materials and products. For more information on submission requirements and judging criteria, visit https://cosentinodesignchallenge.org
