We’re just as passionate about our products as we are about our planet. Whether specifying for a LEED design project or looking to integrate environmentally friendly materials into home design, architects and designers are choosing to use Cosentino surfaces like Silestone and Dekton. The company is an industry leader when it comes to respecting the environment and producing beautiful yet durable eco-friendly products.

Cosentino’s Research and Development team has been diligent in developing eco-friendly surfaces like Dekton’s Trilium, the line’s first recycled content colour option. Trilium is made using recycled materials from its own production process. The Silestone Eco Series is another product line that is created using a minimum of 50% recycled materials including mirror, glass, porcelain, earthenware and vitrified ash. It’s manufacturing process is carried out with extreme environmental precaution. Approximately 94% of the water used during production is even recycled.

Over the years, Cosentino has developed advanced sustainable practices and ‘clean technologies’ to ensure there is a minimal impact on the environment. This includes restoration of quarries to their natural state done through slope stabilization, minimizing tips, and controlling natural erosion. The extraction of raw materials from these quarries is done efficiently with up to 95% of all stone being used after the mining process.

Cosentino continues to lead the industry’s environmental charge through responsible waste management, sustainability policies, energy efficiency practices and eco-friendly surface options so that you can feel good about the surfaces you’re using in your next design project.
