Mediterranean warmth inspires Silestone Loft’s Poblenou

The new Silestone Loft Collection, Cosentino’s latest innovative product lunch, includes five captivating shades inspired by several influential alternative neighbourhoods around the world and their industrial personalities. The collection’s shades mimic the look of concrete and cement, inspired by abandoned factories, large workshops and warehouses found among these unique neighbourhoods.

The second shade featured in the collection is Poblenou, named after the epicentre of the industrial revolution in Barcelona that grew exponentially in the height of progress. Its contrasts have become a main attraction for locals and travelers thanks to its Mediterranean warmth and industrial appearance. The city is a balance of cosmopolitan and suburban, family friendly and multicultural. Its old industrial buildings have been turned into fabulous lofts surrounded by art galleries, bars, pop-up shops, corner stores and emerging businesses. The charisma of this city has inspired Cosentino’s shade of the same name, Poblenou.

A bright and lively shade of grey, Silestone Poblenou is warm-toned with a sandy background. This colour features light veining and provides a comforting texture with a familiar ambiance. Poblenou pairs beautifully with natural materials such as soft woods, handcrafted objects, and soft natural fabrics. It couples harmoniously with pastel colours creating a space ready to reflect natural light. width=

Poblenou, along with the rest of the Silestone Loft collection, is Cosentino’s first series to be created with their innovative and exclusive HybriQ+ technology. This new production process embodies the company’s commitment to the environment, circular economy and sustainable management, and helps in the continued development of a new generation of Silestone for years to come.

With this innovative process, reused raw materials are used in the manufacturing of Silestone Loft. Cosentino’s production process uses 98 per cent recycled water and 100 per cent renewable energy. This hybrid formula is made up of minerals and reused raw materials such as recycled glass. And, thanks to HybriQ+ technology, the presence of crystalline silica is significantly reduced. This new composition provides the quartz surface with a modern aesthetic, while maintaining the quality and beauty of Silestone, backed by a 25-year warranty.
