Showroom Spotlight: Cosentino Centre Calgary
The Cosentino Calgary Centre was Cosentino’s first fully owned and operated showroom location in the Canadian market. Since its inaugural opening in 2015, the Centre has been servicing Calgary’s A&D community with innovative products and detailed customer service ever since. We connected with Lucas Macelwain, A&D Sales Manager, to discuss what sets the Calgary showroom apart from other industry showrooms and why you should make an appointment to visit in-person.
What can design professionals expect when visiting the Calgary Centre?
Interior designers, architects, fabricators and consumers will be inspired by the surface options we have on display at the Cosentino Calgary Showroom. From the minute you walk through the door, you’ll see surface applications from flooring and wall cladding to countertops and even an outdoor kitchen display using ultra-compact Dekton. Furthermore, our exceptional staff can help with anything from choosing the right colour to helping meet your project’s set budget and timeline expectations.
What sets the Calgary Centre apart from other industry showrooms?
Besides our modern showroom space, we also have an adjoining 22,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution centre where visitors can freely walk around and select slabs for their projects. Seeing the warehouse and the behind-the-scenes logistics of our distribution process gives our clients the confidence that we can deliver on time.
What are the essential features that make for a well-designed showroom?
When a showroom is used for purposes other than just displaying products, it’s a well-designed space. Our Centre is an essential resource for both trade professionals and consumers, serving as an educational and entertainment (when we can again) environment for local industry professionals to attend expert training CEUs and new product launch events.
Also, seeing a slab in person versus on the Cosentino website is so important. This is why we feature surfaces like Dekton, Silestone and Sensa in actual installations throughout the showroom so that our clients can easily visualize how it would look in a space.
What are the showroom hours?
We are open from 8 am-4:30 pm from Monday to Friday. We’re currently taking appointments, but drop-in visitors are always welcome. We have placed a significant priority on safety since the pandemic. We have since introduced several precautions such as reducing the number of people in the showroom at a time, requiring mandatory mask-wearing for staff and visitors, and hand sanitization stations upon any entry to the showroom.
