Colin Wong To Showcase ‘The Rock’ at KBB 2018

KBB Birmingham, the UK’s unrivalled kitchen and bathroom show, is fast approaching. Taking place from the 4-7 March at the Birmingham NEC, the show will once again bring together the best of the world’s kitchen, bedroom and bathroom brands. Cosentino will be hosting its biggest stand (Hall 18, Stand M90) ever as well as an exclusive VIP lounge, showcasing exciting new launches and previews across its Silestone, Dekton and Sensa brands – find out more about its presence at the show here.
Also on show at KBB will be ‘The Rock’ – a ground breaking new concept from award-winning kitchen designer Colin Wong of Cosentino Elite Premium studio, Development Direct. The installation explores the potential of permanence and impermanence in kitchen furniture and materials.
As part of the series, Cosentino has contributed a ‘Rock’, which will be on display at the show. Fabricated by Neo-Granite using stunning Calacatta Gold Silestone from the Eternal collection, ‘Arctic’ draws inspiration from natural rock and ice formations, with the organic silhouette as the focus of the piece. Breaking away from conventional straight and symmetrical lines, ‘Arctic’ evokes a feeling of returning to raw nature and represents true excellence in the materials and craftsmanship.
Colin says, “Creating ‘Arctic’ involved a lot of freestyle artistic chiselling – it embodies the true meaning of bespoke.”
Visitors to the show will be able to find the ‘The Rock’ installation in Hall 18 at Stand M120.
