Clerkenwell Design Week with Cosentino
April 12, 2019
Cosentino will once again it will be sponsoring Clerkenwell Design Week (CDW), the UK’s leading independent design festival. This is the third year that Cosentino has been one of the top sponsors for the event, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to the design industry.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the show attracts the international design community with a range of exhibitions, showrooms and installations. Cosentino will be opening the doors to its flagship UK commercial showroom, Cosentino City London. Located at 28-32 Old Street, the stunning showroom showcases the company’s innovative Dekton, Silestone and Sensa by Cosentino surface brands. Cosentino will be hosting evening networking events each weekday evening, with additional activities to be confirmed in the lead up to the festival.
Cosentino will be showcasing its new Dekton Slim surfacing during Clerkenwell Design Week – a revolutionary 4mm thickness for its ultra-compact surface brand. Slim is a whole new revolution in surfaces in architecture and building projects, offering the same impressive technical features that Dekton is known for with a new and much thinner, lighter and manageable format for installation. With its reduced thickness (4 mm) and weight (10 kg/m2), Dekton Slim is the ideal, high-performance covering for a range of projects, including wall cladding or kitchen and bathroom furniture.
Developed in response to overwhelming demand, the new 4mm thickness retains the same high resistance to UV rays, scratches, stains and thermal shock, making it hardwearing and very easy to maintain. Available in extra-large slab formats, a range of thicknesses and a variety of different designs to imitate materials such as wood, concrete and premium natural stones, Dekton offers complete creative freedom for both internal and external projects, including façades, wall cladding, sculptural installations and worktops.
Cosentino has worked with renowned designers globally on a diverse range of projects, from public design installations to pop-up restaurants. In addition, Dekton has been specified for prestigious architectural projects worldwide, including the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar in Manacor, residential building Valdebebas 127 in Madrid, 4* and 5* Hipotels hotels in Palma de Mallorca, TOPA Sukalderia restaurant in San Sebastian, Archway Tower in London, Le Meridian hotel in Taiwan, Cap Ferrat building in Rio de Janeiro and the Kap West building in Munich.
