The global leader in the production and distribution of innovative surfaces for the world of architecture and design, the Cosentino Group, will play a prominent role at the most important event in the international design calendar, Milan Design Week 2018. Taking place from 17-22 April, the event will attract hundreds of designers, architects, students and professionals to the Italian city.

Featuring many different exhibitions and events, Milan Design Week is a renowned platform used by the most recognised designers and architects in the world to present their most innovative projects. The first of two stages at the show is the Milan fair area, where events such as the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition (Salone del Mobile) and International Bathroom Exhibition (Salone del Bagno) will take place.  The second stage is the Fuorisalone, which encompasses the various events and exhibitions that will be held throughout the week.

Tuesday 17 April – Press Event with Daniel Germani

Cosentino will be hosting  a striking 180m2 booth at the Milan International Bathroom Exhibition 2018, where it will be revealing new and evocative colour offerings for its innovative Silestone® and Dekton® surfaces.

Silestone® presents the ‘Loft Series’ for the first time at Milan 2018, a new colour collection that provides a fresh, modern touch with various grey, cement and industrial tones. Cosentino will also be displaying the newly expanded Silestone® Eternal collection, which honours the most popular marbles in history. New additions to the Industrial, Natural and Solid Dekton® by Cosentino collections will also be on show at the exhibition. The group will be re-creating different environments to showcase each different surface and the different yet distinctive properties for use as worktops, floors, sinks, shower trays and bathroom surfaces.

Following its successful launch at KBIS, the acclaimed ‘DeKauri’ credenza will also be on show at the Cosentino booth. This innovative stand-alone vanity was created by the Argentinian designer and architect, Daniel Germani in partnership with Cosentino and the Italian furniture maker Riva 1920. Combining beauty and functionality, ‘DeKauri’ is made with ancient Kauri wood and includes a basin made using the ultracompact surface Dekton®.

Set in the heart of the Italian capital, Cosentino City Milan is an exhibition space that provides inspiration for decoration, interior design and architecture to consumers and designers alike. As well as displaying the new launches for Dekton®, Silestone® and Sensa by Cosentino®, Cosentino City Milan will also host a number of events. These will include the international presentation of the furniture and kitchen equipment fair, Kitchen Space – SICI 2019 (Espacio Cocina), as well as the culinary focused Flavours of Almeria (Sabores de Almeria) and Almeria Coast (Costa de Almeria), hosted in collaboration with Turespaña and Almeria Tourism.

A must-visit installment, Cosentino is proud to sponsor ‘The Diner’, a project designed by American architect David Rockwell and the prestigious New York-based design studio, 2×4. The space redefines American design and provides a modern interpretation of the classic roadside diner. Bars, worktops, islands and tables included in the project are all crafted from various Dekton® and Silestone® colours.

Cosentino and Dekton® with Marc Sadler, Francesc Rifé and Daniel Germani

Notable designers Marc Sadler, Francesc Rifé and Daniel Germani are presenting numerous design and architectural projects with Dekton® by Cosentino at the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition (Salone del Mobile). The French-born designer, Marc Sadler uses Dekton® surfaces for ‘GranGusto’ (pictured above), the masterful semi-professional kitchen he has designed in collaboration with the Italian furniture maker, Riva 1920.

The Spanish industrial and interior designer, Francesc Rifé will be displaying an elegant piece of furniture designed for Mobalco, a Spanish company that produces kitchen furnishings, which features the subtle and delicate combination of Dekton® at thicknesses of 4 and 12mm.

The Argentinian designer and architect Daniel Germani presents ‘Solanas’, an evocative line of outdoor furniture created using Dekton® in partnership with GandiaBlanco, a Spanish company that designs outdoor furniture with an architectural feel.
