Rafa Nadal at exclusive evening with Cosentino, holding a tennis racket crafted from Dekton® – proving with this innovative material, anything is possible!
Days before participating in the Nitto ATP Finals 2017, the Masters Cup, which will be taking place next week in London, tennis superstar Rafael Nadal joined Cosentino for an exclusive evening in London. Nadal, who is a worldwide ambassador for Dekton® presented the new Industrial series to a wide group of clients, stakeholders and members of the London architect and design community.
The event served also to celebrate the Spanish tennis player’s number 1 ranking in the ATP until the end of the present season, for the third time in his career. Hosted at the London Marriott County Hall Hotel, Cosentino was represented by Vice President Global Marketing and Communication, Santiago Alfonso, and new UK Area Director, Paul Gidley. Both, together with Nadal, took part in a panel discussion moderated by BBC Radio 4 sports presenter Garry Richardson.
Dekton® is one of the main sponsors of Nadal’s Tennis Academy in Manacor, Spain, an impressive campus that features Cosentino surfaces throughout, including the use of two bespoke Dekton® colours designed especially for the Academy. As one of the main surface materials used, Dekton® can be seen in many different elements, including the façades, flooring, swimming pools and spa, demonstrating the versatility of the material.

In addition to the presentation of the new Dekton® Industrial series, an urban-inspired range of colours designed in collaboration with leading architect and designer Daniel Germani, the event was an opportunity to introduce Paul Gidley as the new Cosentino UK Area Director. Gidley will replace Christophe Gontier, who after ten years as Area Manager for the UK and Ireland, will be starting 2018 as Sales Vice President for Asia Pacific Region for the Cosentino Group.
