Step inside the newest Dekton® project from Stubbs Design Tribe

Sydney based architecture and design studio Stubbs Design Tribe is regarded for applying both the latest technology and a deep design knowledge to create bespoke spaces their clients love. That’s one of the reasons they chose Dekton® for their latest design project.
Stubbs Design Tribe was formed by Mathew Stubbs, an architect with 20 years of experience designing residential, multi-residential, commercial and retail properties in Sydney and surrounds. His designs are characterised by contemporary clean lines, the use of natural light and his ability to create an uninterrupted flow of space between interiors and exteriors – another reason why Dekton® was chosen for his latest projects.
Dekton® is one of the smartest surfaces in the Cosentino collection. Available in six collections and three thicknesses, it is made from a mixture of the raw materials used to manufacture glass, advanced porcelain materials and quartz surfaces. Dekton® is highly resistant to scratching and abrasion and its low porosity means it is almost entirely resistant to water absorption and stains. This makes it a smart and stylish surface for indoor and outdoor walls, kitchen, bathroom and outdoor benchtops and its heat stability also makes it an effective choice for fireplaces, as would be proven by Stubbs Design Tribe.
The studio selected Dekton® for the fireplace feature of its Murreverie project. It features a minimalist floating Dekton® shelf with a 20mm profile that spans much of the living room and cantilevers across an adjacent window.
The choice of ‘Sirius’ – a contemporary dark charcoal colour from the Solid collection – complements the overall palette of the room, which includes warm greys and pale timber floors, and makes a bold yet elegant addition to the open plan living and kitchen area.
