Interior designer Milla Alftan's dream came true is her own 70 m2 log house in a scenic location by the lake. The construction project began in 2019, when interior designer Milla Alftan bought her husband a summer cottage project as a surprise. The chosen house model is a modern log house with large windows, the graphic appearance of which is softened by a gable roof, glazed terrace and a large terrace and pergola located on the beach side of the house.
The shade of the kitchen countertop Dekton Helena is perfect with the shade of the kitchen walling. Dekton Helena has been used as an intermediate space, platforms and the front of the island. Stone producer Ylämaan Graniitti worked the end of the island precisely with a mitered edge binding it into a bridge solution. The light composite sink is integrated beautifully into the worktop. Gessi's Officine kitchen faucet in brushed copper shade is supplied by HVAC Juhani Niemi.
The cloud-like pattern of Dekton Helena on the worktops is soft and hazy, which pleases Milla. Its shine reproduces the landscape in a magical way and expands the space. Kymi 220 wall lamps are from Astro Lighting's collection, Teclux. The material is plaster and they are painted in the shade of the wall X467 with carpentry. Bar stools are from Tipico.
The different materials and functions of the space are combined into a coherent, perfectly functional and magnificent whole through coloring.
