Clerkenwell Design Week 2019 at Cosentino City London

CDW Logo

Cosentino will be celebrating the 10th annual Clerkenwell Design Week at its UK flagship commercial design centre, Cosentino City London. Located at 28-32 Old Street, the stunning and recently revamped showroom is situated in the hub of the architectural and design community. Cosentino City London will be opening its doors from 10am each day of the festival and would love for you to join them to discover its new launches and collaborations.

Dekton Slim

On display for the first time will be Cosentino’s game changing new Dekton Slim surfacing – a revolutionary 4mm thickness for its ultra-compact surface brand.  Perfect for architecture and building projects, the new Slim format offers the same impressive technical features that Dekton is known for with a new and much thinner, lighter and manageable format for installation.  With its reduced thickness (4 mm) and weight (10 kg/m2), Dekton Slim is the ideal, high-performance covering for a range of projects, including wall cladding or kitchen and bathroom furniture.

Cosentino will also be hosting demonstrations in collaboration with manufacturer of specialist adhesives, Mapei; tooling company, Rubi and Fila, producer of cleaning solutions for stone surfaces throughout the festival, letting visitors get hands on with new Dekton Slim to truly appreciate its wide ranging benefits.  These will take place daily at the showroom, with guests able to see just how easy the cutting and installation of the new surface covering is.

OTOMOTO Kitchen Sink

In addition, Cosentino is delighted to have the first launch from OTOMOTO, the new venture from artist Ryan Gander and creative director Tony Chambers, on display in the showroom during Clerkenwell Design Week.  Previewed at Milan Design Week, the future-thinking unit has been inspired by compact Japanese kitchens.  Featuring a sleek Silestone sink atop a timber frame, it has an intuitive modular sliding system that provides a flexible prep space, using chopping boards and gastronorms, the industry standard for containers used in professional kitchens.
