The Spanish world leader in the production and distribution of innovative surfaces for architecture and design, the Cosentino Group, has demonstrated its commitment to the innovative ‘City’ showroom model with a new facility of this type in Miami.  With this ‘Cosentino City’, the multinational company now has 11 of these innovative, inspirational spaces for designers and architects across the globe.

The grand opening took place on 25 May with an exclusive event attended by over 200 people, including a number of clients and distributors, as well as industry representatives and members from the community of designers and architects in the South Florida city.  Cosentino was represented by Eduardo Cosentino, EVP of Global Sales and CEO of Cosentino North America; Massimo Ballucchi, Cosentino North America Director of Marketing; and Carolina Almeida, Miami City General Manager.  In addition, the event included a performance by Keba Williams, an emerging R&B and Soul singer from Trinidad and Tobago who is based in Miami.

With over 300m2 of total floorspace, the new Cosentino showroom is located at the heart of the Miami Design District, a strategic city hub that is renowned for its sleek modern architecture and the presence of upscale design and interior brands.  This district, which is currently expanding and experiencing rapid growth, is also home to several main architecture offices in Miami.  Lastly, thanks to its location, Cosentino City Miami can serve not only clients from South Florida, but also provide services to the Central and South American markets.

More than €1.1 million ($1.4 million) was invested in the Miami City showroom, which will offer all the next-generation resources usually found in these Cosentino spaces, including exhibition and work areas and interactive virtual technologies in the sample room, allowing visitors to be inspired and develop a range of projects using the company’s products.  The Miami City will also be the first Cosentino building of its type to have a façade made of Dekton® in the colours Trilium and Domoos, with the façade forming an integral part of the showroom’s design.  Inspired by Miami’s infamous and colourful Wynwood Walls, the opening was attended by well-known Miami-based urban artist Alex Vahan, who created an impressive mural on the exterior Dekton® façade.

This new showroom builds on the company’s connection to the major Florida port city which, since the end of 2017, has also been home to the head offices of the Group’s subsidiary for the Americas.  With this opening, Cosentino now has 11 innovative showrooms located at the hearts of the world’s main cities; besides Miami, including: Sydney, Singapore, New York, San Francisco, Toronto, Montreal, Milan, London, Madrid and Dubai.
