London joins Milan, New York, Sydney and Singapore with the opening of a brand new flagship commercial design centre, Cosentino City London, in the hub of the architectural and design community.

The world leader in the production and distribution of innovative surfaces for architecture and design, the Cosentino Group has opened the doors to an impressive space located in Old Street, Clerkenwell. Cosentino City London will play host to architects and designers from across the UK, providing an inviting place for business in the hustle and bustle of London.

Currently situated across the world in Milan, Manhattan, Sydney and Singapore, London will be the fifth Cosentino City showroom to open. Clerkenwell is a hub for world-class brands with a buzzing cultural scene; no other part of London has as many international design showrooms, making it the ideal location for Cosentino’s new commercial design centre.

Designed to be a destination for architects and designers to meet, see Cosentino’s product range and discover how the surfaces can be utilised for a wide range of projects, a ‘Cosentino City’ is a space configured to promote the relationship between professionals and the Cosentino commercial team. Cosentino’s hero surfaces, Dekton®, Silestone® and Sensa® decorate the space, offering visual and tactile aids to visitors. A social and dynamic area where everyone speaks the same language, the City allows the architecture and design communities to experience Cosentino interactively; to see, feel and understand its wide range of products first hand and get inspired. A hands-on sample room offers visitors the chance to visualise projects using touch screen technology; an impressive slab display interacts with screens to show how different colours and textures look both in detail and applied in a multitude of applications. Colour palettes can be selected using clever sensor technology, creating a 3D mood board.

Architects and designers are encouraged to utilise Cosentino City London as a workspace for inspiration and project planning. The centre is also available for kitchen studios to bring clients for meetings or for consumers to get ideas for their next big project.

Showroom manager, Diego Florio, says of the new space, “Cosentino City London goes beyond the idea of a ‘showroom’. It offers inspiration for anyone that visits, but overall we see it as a commercial design centre, where professionals can bring their clients, have meetings, and get excited about the possibilities. Product interaction is also key as it allows greater vision for potential projects.”

Appliances and fittings were carefully selected for the new showroom. Cosentino City London is fitted with premium kitchen appliances from Miele, including the latest induction hob, coffee machine, wine conditioner and oven which deliver exceptional results. Exquisite Zanotta armchairs provide a relaxing and comfortable workspace, as well as stylish furniture from Andreu World and Vitra. The showroom also houses top of the range TVs from Sony and a sound system by Bose, to create the perfect audio-visual set up for presentations.

Cooking demonstrations, CPDs, lectures, product launches and others events will be held in the City London showroom regularly.
