Wei Ming’s designs feature a pair of stools, a side table and a mirror pedestal, which is an extension of her existing column series that she has designed. She shared that she “explores the spirit of Art Deco geometric lines in simple repetitive shapes, inspired by her nostalgic memories of her grandparent’s art deco house in Georgetown, Penang, which they have been staying in after the Second World War”. Similar to Dekton® Pietra Kode’s Italian architecture inspiration, Wei Ming’s pieces also incorporated ancient and historical design elements of monuments and columns. The stools which were curated with a combination of VK01 Nebbia and VK04 Grafite, represent the design of an ancient door opening while the mirror pedestal that featured VK01 Nebbia from the Dekton® Pietra Kode collection is reminiscent of Roman columns.

On the other hand, Naythan’s designs feature a chair, console and coffee table that revolves around the theme of diversity, exploring design possibilities beyond the kitchen or working countertops. He shared that he “wanted to experiment and dive deep into exploring ways surfaces can be adapted into different forms with different materials”. The console known as ‘La Chapa’ features VK02 Avorio incorporated plywood, the chair – ‘Acero’ incorporated steel and the coffee table – ‘Madera’ incorporated solid wood, both featuring VK03 Grigio from the Cosentino Dekton® Pietra Kode collection. Particularly for the coffee table, Naythan got his inspiration from a cloud which he wanted to emulate its features and textures with linear surfaces showcasing the versatility of the collection.

Dekton® Pietra Kode developed together with designer and architect Daniel Germani channels the influence of Vicenza stone, travertine, and Milan’s iconic Ceppo di Gré stone on Italian architecture over the centuries. Each of these antique natural stones is decoded and then recoded within three Dekton® concrete series, enhancing their properties and the many possibilities for architecture and design. Each colour breathes contemporary elegance into the design, with the rich shades and textures creating a sensory experience beyond what the eye can see. The carbon-neutral Dekton® surface allows the collection to be used in a virtually limitless range of indoor and outdoor applications.
