Exclusive masterclass for the launch of Dekton® Onirika and Kraftizen in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, 5 October 2022 - Cosentino, the leader in the surfaces for the world of Design and Architecture, launched the brand’s latest innovative surfaces Dekton® Onirika and Kraftizen collection in Malaysia, with an exclusive Interior Design Masterclass at the Cosentino Malaysia Showroom. Co-hosted with Veanne Chong, Design Director and Founder of Luxe Interior, the masterclass showcased inspirational ways to design and adapt these surfaces into one’s dream home.

The event saw the attendance of lifestyle content creators, including Crystal Swung, Venice Min, Jaymond Tan and Irene Xiiao. The guests were first introduced to Cosentino’s latest complete life-cycle carbon-neutral Dekton® collection – Dekton® Onirika and Kraftizen by Cosentino’s South East Asia Marketing Representative, Patricia Lyon.

About creating one’s dream home by Veanne Chong, Luxe Interior

After introducing the new Dekton® collections, guests were treated to an exclusive design masterclass with Veanne Chong. Veanne shared her expertise as an interior designer and personal insights on the three key factors one should consider when designing one’s dream home.

The first insight includes setting the overall style for one’s home based on interests, hobbies, and favourite city or place. She encourages taking risks and being playful to create a home that tells the story of your life to whoever steps into your home. “Some examples of design elements that can be implemented include light shadows to create patterns, decorative shelving rack with cultural elements or patterns tiles that contrast with modern structures,” Veanne Chong shares

Other than design elements, it is essential to set your own rules and plan the space the way you want to live in, from the living room and kitchen to the bedroom. The living room is the face of your home. It represents who you are and should be designed based on your lifestyle. In contrast, the flow of the space and the durability of its furnishings for the kitchen are the most crucial. The bedroom should have a more relaxing ambience, which can be enhanced with dimmable lighting and a comfortable bed and couch set.

When selecting materials for one’s interiors, Veanne shared that she usually focuses on three considerations: aesthetics with characteristic materials that represent style; functionality that adapts the space to one’s lifestyle; and sustainability by choosing environmentally friendly materials without compromising quality and usage.

Veanne also showcased three inspirational mood boards that her team at Luxe Interiors put together featuring Dekton® Onirika and various materials, textures and colours to illustrate how it can be incorporated into the living room, kitchen and bedroom for one’s dream home.
