Description

They wanted a modern, textured slab style handle free kitchen with on trend ceramic/stone finishes. A room that flowed seamlessly between cooking, dining, entertaining and relaxing. They liked the idea of dark features and having the right appliances to allow them to cook and entertain. The kitchen needed to be beautiful but also provide plenty of storage, as there was a desire to keep the worktops clear. This brought about the bifold dresser as an area to store appliances such as the toaster and coffee machine out of site. The kitchen needed to look great by day or by night so lighting was a large factor in the design. Achieving a room space with ticked the customer’s wish list as well as smartly using the budget to create a thought out layout and storage plan as well as creating a beautiful space. There were varying ceiling heights and light tunnels already in place, the kitchen design had to work with these features as well as the offered room space. Choosing a Quooker tap was key not only for style but enabling the customer to keep the kettle off the worktop whilst considering both electricity and water consumption which was a must. We chose complimenting furniture and worksurface finishes with offered practicality and future proofing against any kitchen design accidents. The lighting as already mentioned was key to enabling mood change come day or night. Utilising the technology of the BORA allowed us to avoid the use of a ceiling extractor.
