The island as a workspace
Grey and white for a revamped classic style
In this kitchen, the interior designer wanted to maximise the light coming through the skylight and the huge windows. All that natural light falls on a central island of more than 5 square metres, which is the centre of operations and focal point of the kitchen.
The impressive worktop in Silestone® Blanco Zeus, makes white the dominant colour on the island. Furthermore, the brickwork and cabinets in pickled wood are also white. In contrast to the light, the secondary areas are in grey tones, whilst the worktop of the cooking area and the second sink are clad in Silestone® Charcoal Soapstone, a colour featuring a black background with veins.
Brilliant white
The work area is distinctly defined by the large worktop featuring a 12 cm strip. The use of Silestone® Blanco Zeus in a glossy finish, further enhances the reflection of light.
Auxiliary worktops
In contrast to the white that dominates the focal point of the kitchen, the interior designer opted for a very dark matt colour with greyish veins from the Eternal Collection for the auxiliary worktops: Silestone® Charcoal Soapstone. Inspired by soapstone, this material creates an incredible effect thanks to its depth and fluidity.
