Monica elaborated on how sustainability integrates with her firm’s design principles. “As society becomes more socially aware of the environmental impacts of their choices, our design principles have likewise pivoted to using durable and sustainable materials like Dekton is the only product on the market that offsets 100% of their CO₂ emissions,” she shared.

Solving Design Challenges

When asked to share examples of projects where Dekton’s unique properties helped address design challenges or meet specific client needs, they offered compelling insights however a large consensus landed on Dekton’s versatility and the options that using the surface offers. Sandy pointed out how they have used Dekton as key wall features, dining and side tables within a project.

Dekton’s material composition is a combination of porcelain, quartz and glass. Unique to Dekton, Cosentino developed exclusive technology known as Sinterised Particle Technology in order to create a surface that has the same or better technical performance in comparison to natural stone.
