Located in the heart of Madrid’s Golden Triangle of Art, the Radisson RED Madrid hotel exudes elegance and boldness in its design. From the common areas to its 260 rooms, the hotel provides a holistic experience where natural light mingles with vibrant colours and privileged views of the city. Its minimalist style with splashes of art and colour that infuse the rooms with energy has been conceived by the hotel chain’s design team to offer a place that is as inspiring as it is comfortable.

Among all the materials included in this project, Silestone is the key to elegance and durability. Cosentino surfaces have been installed in the rooms and bathrooms, as well as in the common areas of the hotel. Likewise, Silestone can be found in its restaurants and bars, which offer a culinary adventure that fuses Basque and Japanese cuisine, as well as in the lobby itself and the bathrooms in the common areas.

A material that meets the requirements of a high-traffic hotel

The design team went for Silestone to design all these features, as a hard-wearing and durable material was needed for this purpose. ‘We chose Silestone for its patterns, characteristics and guaranteed material performance,’ explain the designers. ‘Durability, ease of cleaning and low maintenance are very important factors for the operation of a hotel, as they have a direct impact on profitability,’ they add.

‘The flexibility of the material for various applications, some of them very demanding in all aspects, as well as the guaranteed sustainability of the materials and processes’ were the main reasons why they opted for Silestone. In addition, they highly valued the support provided by Cosentino during all phases of the project, as well as the after-sales service offered.

Silestone also features in the common areas

The common areas of the hotel offers a myriad of spaces for guests and visitors, from the spectacular bathrooms, where impressive washbasins in Eternal Marquina blend in with the powerful red colour of the room, to the culinary spaces. The same colour, inspired by the Spanish Negro Marquina marble, provides a touch of elegance in the buffet and exudes sophistication in the lobby with the side tables.

On the other hand, the bars in the lobby, the bar and the restaurant on the top floor – from where you can enjoy spectacular views of the city of Madrid – have been designed in Silestone Calacatta Gold. Its grey veining with golden accents on a white background brings a beautiful light and a timeless look to these areas.

Rooms featuring the deep shade of Marquina

The stylish rooms of the hotel also feature Silestone Et. Marquina, which has been used in different parts adding its halo of elegance and creating a dialogue with the art pieces and the emphatic design.

Specifically, this colour embellishes the washbasins in all the rooms, as well as the side tables, bedside tables and the TV cabinet, creating an aesthetic continuity that runs throughout the hotel.
